Okay. Baby brain, had to actually google it. The brand is Serola. Here's an amazon link: [link]
I'm on mobile in the bathtub currently, so my apologies if that doesn't link easily! It's an expensive belt, so if you can get it through insurance, that's the way to go. I have two and alternate them. This one is nice because you do have the option of wearing it against your skin( mine is too sensitive) and its washable. I alternate between two of them. I have one for work and one for home/sleep.
Also, for all the ladies on this sub, women's health physical therapy is a thing! They are going to help you out better than any regular PT like myself, especially if you have issues postpartum!!! I went to one myself because this pain was out of my league!
Are you going to a physical therapist? I have sciatica and several herniated discs in my back. I've been going once a month up until recently, and we've upped to once every two weeks (due to increased pain bc my body is finally changing - I didn't show until late, I'm 24 weeks now and still barely showing). We expect to be once, or even twice, a week by the time I'm delivering.
Edit to add: My PT had me get a SI joint band (I got this one from amazon [link]) that I wear whenever I walk long distances - so I can still take our pupper for a walk and stuff. It's magic - if I forget to put it on I can hardly walk a mile, if I wear it I can walk however far I want. It's to help combat the relaxin spreading my hips apart, which causes pain when you do a lot of walking bc they're out of alignment.
Mine doesn’t do any supporting of the bump, it just keeps my hips and pelvis together. You may have the wrong kind of belt! Look for one for pelvic girdle pain. This is the one my physio recommended. [link]
This is the one I used with my first pregnancy. I haven't needed it so far with this one (fingers crossed....). I felt like it worked well for me, but hard to say if it will work for everyone.
SEROLA® Sacroiliac Belt
I bought this combination drain cover/temperature sensor thing (I think at Target) during my first pregnancy because I love baths and wanted to feel no guilt. I think it will come in handy later when the baby is here too.
I take one almost every day (adding the Epsom salts is more recent to try to manage the pain), they are basically my only source of joy right now since I have GD and can’t eat anything I want to and everything hurts.
My pelvic floor PT recommended this belt when I first started having this pain (probably right around where you are now) and I held off because of the price but I bought it earlier this week because it was really getting bad and it does help for stabilizing during walking. If you get it, get one size bigger than you think you need because I mistakenly ordered the size I tried on at her office at 24 weeks and at 34...it just barely fits.
have you ever tried a back brace/belt? I don't know if I have endo, but my ligaments DO loosen far too much whenever I have a period, and it helps immensely. It's like a hug around my legs that keeps me from falling apart.
This is what I use and I got it for free from my physical therapist.
Serola Sacroiliac Hip Belt, Medium [link]
I have a small, not sure why it’s not on this listing.
not legal advice, but look into this:
it's helped a few people i know
I want one! I need one! Is it something sort of like this?
I used this towards the end of my pregnancy. Only downside was I felt like it put more pressure on my bladder. But it really helped with my pelvic girdle pain. I loved that I could adjust the support too.
