John Marszalek's biography was great, if thick. It also included copies of Sherman's artwork. Both Sherman and Grant were terrific artists. And there's a dual biography of their friendship which I haven't yet read, but which looks promising! While not a biography, Burke Davis did a great job of getting to his essence in Sherman's March.
