I'm using the same brand, short version:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06Y5FDXD4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
What kind of charging pad are you using? I use a Samsung charging pad at home. The back lifts up so the phone "stands up." When I used the charger in that configuration, it wouldn't work reliably, but when I "closed" the charger so I have to lay the phone down flat, it works reliably (just so long as I'm sure to line it up).
Are you sure? I just enabled it on my wife's Pixel 2, hahaha. My son has this adapter on his 4a. It only charges at 5W, but it's enough for him. He uses a cheap 5W Qi charger from IKEA and an Aukey Qi portable power bank. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06Y5FDXD4?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
It's odd. When I put it on my wireless charging stand, the stand recognizes it, but recognizes that it has an error. So my guess is that it has some of the hardware but not everything, to save costs.
That having been said, you can buy an add-on that fits into the USB-C and flips around to the back. Provided you have a case, and don't have to use the port often, it can be converted.
Example: https://www.amazon.com/Version-Wireless-Charging-Receiver-Nillkin/dp/B06Y5FDXD4
I bought one and the cable was actually too long for my LG G5, as it blocked part of the fingerprint sensor. I kept it and will use it for the A32 when my case arrives.
Oh, not sure if you know this or not, but you can buy wireless charging adapters for phones. I bought this for my second to last phone, and worked pretty well. (I ended up needing to put the phone into the charge upside down)
Haven't done this myself but guess you could use something similar to this and plug it in the keyboards USB connector. Not sure though if it would work as you need to have a certain max distance to the charging pad it's placed on.

You could try some like this wireless charger receiver and stick it to the back of the case. Might look a bit ugly but you could try taping over it to hide it

Almost certainly not the solution you’re looking for, but you could get a USB C inductive charging pad similar to this one but a bit smaller and either stick it to the bottom of the case or devise some kind of 3D printed solution that will hold it in place.
I've not used any of these, so I cannot recommend one for you, but it seems like a possible solution for you.

I use a pop socket on every phone I've had so it's not really a deal breaker for me, but I've got one of these coils and used it on my moto g power and this phone, fits nicely under a case
I considered this option a while ago, and kept defaulting to this option (Canadian Amazon link). Didn't end up doing it, since I was concerned I'd damage the cable trying to unplug it from under a case if I ever needed wired charging.

Only advice I can offer are, make sure it's not so tall that it blocks the fingerprint sensor, make sure you pick a case that supports wireless charging, and consider the extra space needed at the bottom for the cable. And also, that while it's plugged in, it blocks you from wired charging. (though you can always get a cheap case and do make some cutouts at the bottom if you need to?)

If you end up doing it, def report back, I'd be interested in how it works for you!
The 4a does not support wireless charging.
there are adapters out there like this one you can hide in a case
Which is fine if you are gonna use wireless charging all the time.
Yeah, the wireless charging thing stinks.
There are some janky solutions, though. For example if you use a case you could slip something like this into it. That's not really the same, though.
Here's the USB c version but they have iPhone options and others in there as well
install "Navbar Apps"; changes color of navigation bar based on running app, prevents burn-in
install "Custom Navigation Bar"; customize buttons on the navigation bar, recommend adding a button to turn off the screen (aka "sleep"). Saves wear-and-tear on the power button.
if you're willing to root, install "Fingerprint Quick Action" and configure it to turn off the screen using the fingerprint reader. Very convenient, and saves wear-and-tear on the power button.
get yourself one of these (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06Y5FDXD4) and tuck it inside the official silicone case from Google, assuming wireless charging is of any interest to you

I've used it a couple times with my Nexus 6p and it seems to work. Seemed like the charge was maybe a little slow vs normal Qi charging, but given the 6p's power issues that's not entirely surprising. Not really gonna know how well it'll work with the Pixel until the phone gets here though.
Odd. I'm not sure that's accurate. According to that article it looks like the 2018 Malibu doesn't have Qi (saying only 9 compatible models, and it isn't listed), but I just plugged my USB-C->Qi adapter into my phone and dropped it in the slot and it started charging. (I did have to do some finagling, but seems it was probably because it's a crappy adapter - it was still charging.)
If they're saying it's not compatible due to size; I've got a Pixel 2 XL. It was a little tight, but it looks like the iPhone 8 Plus is only 0.5mm taller and 1.5mm wider than the Pixel 2 XL. I have the squeeze feature set to pretty sensitive and it wasn't enough to trigger that, so the extra 1.5mm shouldn't be a problem.
Edit Just saw the other comment thread. Guessing it's probably the placement of the coils given that additional info.
I bought an adapter thru Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06Y5FDXD4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_JN7FN418XF83404YJZ0Z?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I can't really see the difference. I scroll and it looks fine to me. But I'm not picky that way.
My Pixel isn't wireless compatible either exactly. I have a 4a which has no wireless capability. I added this and made it compatible:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06Y5FDXD4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I also bought one off of eBay and another couple of models from Amazon. All of them work about the same with the exception of the cheap Chinese one I mentioned in the other post that I got from Ali whatsits.
Unfortunately I doubt it would help with your current phone as it sounds like the connector is worn or broken. But if you get a new phone that doesn't do wireless charging it would take the stress off by connecting the receiver and leaving it there.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06Y5FDXD4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1
it's still slightly larger than the case, but at least it's doing its job
This the one I put on my Pixel and Motorola:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06Y5FDXD4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I have a 4a and a Moto G7 Play both using this one for a couple of months and they work very well.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06Y5FDXD4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I got a different one for my Pinephone on eBay. I've only used it about 3 days total, but it works well. I also just ordered one from AliExpress that is 1300mah instead of 1000. No idea how that'll turn out. After I test it on a disposable phone I'll decide if it will go on the Play or the 4a. Provided it doesn't smoke anything or quit working, of course.
> 4a wireless charging receiver
Not the OP, but he is probably talking about something like this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06Y5FDXD4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I bought this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06Y5FDXD4?psc=1.
I've been using one of these inside my case. It's been pretty great (except for Android Auto... looking forward to the Indigogo AA Wifi adapter in March-ish).

I use this car holder https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07ZGDBXMB
Check to see if your phone already supports wireless charging first.
The A70 doesn't come with built-in wireless charging. So natively you can't use it. HOWEVER, there are things such as this https://www.amazon.com/Version-Wireless-Charging-Receiver-Nillkin/dp/B06Y5FDXD4 That you slip in between a protective cover and the back of the phone to add qi-charging to it. It won't be very fast but it does work. When you need to quick charge, you then just unplug the connector (while leaving the pad in) and plug in the cable.
Works fine. Use such a thing for a long time with my nexus 5 and my nexus 6P
Since I use a case anyway I just use one of these https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06Y5FDXD4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_POzoFb8VHP0PQ
You can get things like this and slip them into a case: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06Y5FDXD4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_ZDY6CbE6ETMJC
This is the one I'm using: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06Y5FDXD4
I would be cautious about constantly plugging/unplugging it, I'm not sure the connecting cable on this thing will tolerate that.
Less of an issue if it's not there as opposed to microSD slots.
You can always install one of these: https://www.amazon.com/Version-Wireless-Charging-Receiver-Nillkin/dp/B06Y5FDXD4/
Any wireless chargers that actually work? I recently tried this, without a case on, and after 1hr I actually lost a %...
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06Y5FDXD4
Pixel 2 [non-XL], it was one of the "dang, I didn't think to check if it had that..." since my 5 year old Icon had it I assumed all new phones would and I have the charging stations all over.
