If you prefer black Amazon has the Sig Sauer Romeo 5 for $99.99. Pick Amazon.com as the seller (shows as temporarily out of stock but you can order it). If you are eligible for the Amex points offer you can save 20% and get it for $80.
Also: "Includes a M1913 Picatinny low mount riser and a co-witness 1.41in riser mount "
Reposted as the Amazon offer was flagged as an affiliate link. You can find it with a little search engine work, though.
EDIT: Okay, not 15 minutes after I posted it Amazon jumped the price to $125. $100 after the points discount, so not quite as exciting. All I can say is keep an eye on it if you are interested. I've seen it fluctuate a few times before I posted.
Amazon has it as "currently unavailable" but purchasable for $109.99 right now. Price has been fluctuating between $99.99 and $109.99 so it might shift again. Need to pick Amazon as seller.
If you have the Amex points offer you can save another 20%. I can't link it here but its easy enough to find.
I don't own one but the common complaints for the red dot I've heard are them coming installed backwards from the factory and that the battery life sucks. If you like it and it holds zero, great! If you're like me and have an astigmatism this works well, and even if you don't have an astigmatism and just don't like your red dot I'd still recommend it https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01C95I8N4/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_5J3794E2XTDKG195XGW8
The only way it could "hold you back" is if you intend to shoot in the dark and want a tritium front sight.
But, if you plan to shoot in the dark, just get a decent red dot. The combined cost is still half as much as that expensive set.
No, I'm talking about the regular Romeo 5. There's one that's slightly more expensive that has an included riser.
Scroll down, you can see the riser here.
Me personally I’m gonna get the Sig Sauer Romeo5 1x20mm Compact 2 Moa Red Dot Sight off amazon for $125. It’s a decent deal to me plus my buddy has one on the same exact rifle and it’s nice sight for the price.
Sig Sauer SOR52001 Romeo5 1x20mm Compact 2 Moa Red Dot Sight, Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01C95I8N4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_a04yCbX03ZDJ3
If you're wanting a good RDS for the money, the Vortex SPARC or Crossfire are always good and have a really good resale value. Those will run you about $250 though.
For the most part you get what you pay for, but I see a lot of people using a Sig Sauer Romeo5. It's an excellent RDS for the price (about $130).
It is on sale at Amazon right now: https://www.amazon.com/Sig-Sauer-SOR52001-Romeo5-Compact/dp/B01C95I8N4/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?keywords=Sig+Sauer+SOR52001+Romeo5+1x20mm+Compact+2+Moa+Red+Dot+Sight%2C+Black&qid=1559135124&s=gateway&sr=8-1
I personally wouldn't recommend anything with an MSRP below $100.
And the SOR52001 is on Amazon right now for $112.99 + tax and is shipped free same day/next day if you are a prime member. I just picked it up for my 10/22 and couldn’t be happier.

I love the romeo 5 and it's now the goto red dot on anything I don't magnify or use irons.
It's nice that it comes with both a high and low base (low base is great for the 10/22 and the high base is great for an AR).
The auto off/on feature is great, I can't tell you how many times I've gone to shoot a TRS25 only to find the battery dead because I or somebody else forgot to turn it off.
Even at it's regular amazon everyday price of $127 (not an affilate link) it's a good value.

Total $165 shipped. PSA saves you $6.
Edit for clarity
DO NOT BUY THIS ONE!!!!!! BUY THE ONE WITH 100'S OF REVIEWS The one you listed could be a scam or a refurb, who knows with only 3 reviews, buy this one instead: https://www.amazon.com/Sig-Sauer-SOR52001-Romeo5-Compact/dp/B01C95I8N4/
Amazon's price is currently 126.45 + tax

Well, for a first AR, it’s really hard to go wrong with the Sig Sauer Romeo 5 red dot. It’s a really great budget optic without being so cheap that the build quality and reliability suffers.
Also, if you plan on having this as your go-to rifle for self-defense, then I highly recommend you get yourself a sling. Viking Tactics and Blue Force Gear both make terrific two-point quick-adjust slings, and here is a helpful InRangeTV video demonstrating the advantages of quick-adjust slings.
This is the OEM model that only comes with the high mount. It does not come with the low mount or the slick box. You can get that one on Amazon for a couple bucks more.
What about this model https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01C95I8N4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_Gy3gFb7DKPCCF
Gives a nice rundown of what to expect with a PSA complete rifle as others have suggested. Unrefined, but extremely reliable. Mil-spec as it gets. You could easily buy the parts you need from PSA, buy your own handguard and/or stock from magpul (you can sometimes find really great deals and sales on this stuff) throw in a Larue MBT , which is a very nice trigger, not even considering the low price. Might stretch you a bit over budget, but the Romeo 5 is also a great red dot for the price and makes shooting very easy and intuitive even for brand new shooters. You’ll have a fine rifle very few can outshoot.
Is this the same one on Amazon? I see this one for $119.99 all the time.
Sig Sauer SOR52001 Romeo5 1x20mm Compact 2 Moa Red Dot Sight, Black
Sadly a good rule of thumb is if your optic is under $100 its probably garbage. Get a little Sig Romeo and train with it.
This is for the compact version.
Alternatively, OpticsPlanet and Amazon offer it for $149.99 with free 2-Day Shipping.
Edit: I just realized that the seller that I linked on Amazon is OpticsPlanet!
Edit2: With Free Prime 1-Day shipping, I guess this could be the better deal for me if I wanna pay another ~$5 over the lowest shipping option at PA. Man, did I underestimate shipping and taxes.
I’ve had good luck with the Sig Sauer Romeo 5

This one? I am totally new to this.
I have a Sig Romeo 5 red dot. It’s a nice budget red dot if you’re looking for that. I also put a viridian green laser grip on my AR9. It’s low profile a low profile design.
https://www.amazon.com/Sig-Sauer-SOR52001-Romeo5-Compact/dp/B01C95I8N4
Shitmark is shit. That shotgun will destroy them both. Visible lasers are tactically impractical and serve no purpose. Only IR lasers have a purpose and that's only if you're running night vision.
If you're on a budget, replace your optic with either the Sig Romeo 5 or one of the following from vortex
Replace the flashlight with a Streamlight HLX for a decent budget light.
Here’s a link to it on Amazon $129

Still to be purchased
Still to be decided on
Thanks, that means a lot! I couldn't have built it without this sub. Lots of helpful people answering my questions about what is that and where'd you get it. Here's a complete list of everything with links to where I purchased:
True Mfg 5050 Reversible Flash Can (1.5" model 1/2-28 thread)
SMX Industries Octos M-Lok Handguard
Phase 5 Weapon Systems EBRV3 Ext Bolt Release
Farrowtech EP9 Buffer Tube Adapter (adapter only)
SB Tactical SBA3 Pistol Brace Black
Bull Moose Tactical AR Skeletonized Trigger
Fortis Mfg SHIFT Reversible CF Handstop
CMMG Ambidextrous Safety Selector
I believe that covers everything.
Couple of quick notes:
You can save money with the non CF version of the Fortis grip or just leave it off. I'm on the fence about it, some days I like it and others I think about taking it off. It looks great though! Shop around, most of these links were the best deals I could find at the time but prices change.
I was told this trigger kit works with the Extar and it does... but it required some modification of the trigger components in the kit. When I installed it out of the package, the round section where the hammer pivots was rubbing against the extar lower receiver causing it to bind. It wasn't striking at full speed. I used a Dremel to remove some metal material from this round area (there is still plenty of material there, nothing major) and now it clears both visually and physically. I haven't had any issues with reliability, but want anyone else who goes this direction to be aware there is some modification required.
Well if you haven't bought it yet, here's the exact listing I bought from.

The Amazon Prime one doesn’t, but I found a SOR52001 there without Prime Shipping (but still free shipping).
Isn’t this model is $120 on Amazon w/free shipping via Prime?
If you're going to immediately upgrade the hand guard, this is what I'd go for.
The next thing you're going to want to upgrade is the trigger. For the price, you can't beat a LaRue MBT-2s.
Finally for optic, if you're planning to use it for self-defense, a red dot sight is all you're going to need. Personally, I don't think you can beat the Romeo5 when it comes to getting the most for your money.
Good luck and welcome to the club!
Bought aa localy so he got to look around , for red dot here
30mm is the size of the scope rings needed if you went with the vortex scope option.
Your rail is a standard 1913 picatinny rail. The Sig red dot will come with both a high and low mount so no need to worry about additional hardware if going that route.
Right now Amazon has the Romeo5 for $127 with free returns if you don't like it.
AR-15 Safe Space has a great deal on Pmags right now... $8.50 when added to cart and only $5 shipping no matterhow many you order.
https://ar15safespace.com/shop/magpul-30-round-pmag-gen-m2-moe/
At 500, you're looking at good selection of quality optics.
The aimpoint pro is like $450 and it's typical aimpoint quality.
https://www.opticsplanet.com/aimpoint-pro-patrol-rifle-optic-red-dot-riflescope-30mm.html
If you're looking to go cheaper anything that vortex makes as a dot is around $150-$250 and will serve you well with a lifetime warranty.

I just got a Sig Sauer Romeo 5 a month ago and its pretty solid. I can first hand recommend these optics.
