If you don't have a bajillion dollars or an expensive scooter, I invested in this Sigtuna lock and it checks most of the boxes for me. Lots of pictures on Amazon of people who still have their bikes and the lock in various states of attacked.
I just recently ordered a runner as well and was worried about locks and theft as well. The key is to never leave it somewhere you don’t trust for very long. I have spend the past couple days watching as many bike security videos as I can to get as much info as possible.
this lock is the one that I am ordering off of amazon. It has great reviews including people who have had thieves try to steal their bike but couldn’t get through this lock.
The best protection you can do it to pair a really good lock with bike insurance. That way even if it is stolen, you can claim the insurance and get your money back. I priced out a good Ebikes insurance that only costs around $12 a mind and covers theft, injury, damage, and other things.
Most e-bikes are asking to be stolen so the best thing is to try your best to lock it up and get insurance to cover your ass if the worst happens.
I have this one although it's Sigtuna, and the mount is totally plastic but has held up well so far. Doesn't seem like it will last for long though, and I've only used it for a couple weeks now
I use a Sigtuna 16mm u-lock, anything under 14mm can easily be cut by long bolt cutters. 16mm or bigger generally requires power tools which most criminals avoid doing in public areas.
I've been using this, it covers with a handy frame mount.
And then string through front tire, back tire and frame, right?
Thank you for the response. I'm looking at this combo:

https://www.amazon.com/UShake-Resettable-Combination-Complimentary-Mounting/dp/B0151RQAX2/
Those together for day to day locking up. If there is a better option please let me know!
How does this lock compare to a u-lock like this one?
