Exactly same position here. My motherboard comes with USB-C as a rear in built port but no front panel connector. As of now my front panel USB-C port is dead.
Found some adapters flying about on amazon Like this one. But isn't true USB-C as it doesn't utilize display, charging, ect. It will act like a regular USB-A port. It is unfortunately pricey and not much benefit.
Over all threads about this topic, there is no answers. It is far too new and this problem isn't common just yet. There will hopefully soon be a viable workaround, for now your front USB-C port may be dead unless you are willing to buy an adapter or REPLACE THE ENTIRE MOTHERBOARD. :/
That is USB C front connector, you can try to find USB 3 header to USB c header if you want to, otherwise leave it.
Here's an adapter:https://www.amazon.sg/SilverStone-Technology-CP14-Internal-Adapter/dp/B07Y488L11/ref=asc_df_B07Y488L11/?tag=googleshoppin-22&linkCode=df0&hvadid=399734128227&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=5819028991164953573&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9062499&hvtargid=pla-843446772875&psc=1
I have never heard of such an adapter/splitter, and looking around on Amazon doesn't yield what you're after.
The closest I can find are adapters from the 3.0 header on the board to the 3.1 connector from the case (example), in case you'd want to prioritize that port over the type A. Mind that there might be clearance issues - especially on an ITX board - since the cable plugged to the adapter is
at a 90° angle from the header.
From what I can find here, the solution where you'd plug that adapter on top of a Y splitter that create two 20-pins headers out of one doesn't seem to work either.
I'm not sure the ideal solution to your problem exists at all, and I'm afraid you'll have to chose between using the Type A (natively) or the Type C connector (through an adapter).
Hopefully I'm wrong and someone else can chime in and correct me (and point you in the correct direction).
