I have a relatively low power dash cam, and it would be super convenient to use the power from the mirror, but I can’t find any adapters that connect to this mirror. I have found this one for a Toyota 4Runner that looks like it might be correct, but it’s sold out wherever I look. Anyone have any ideas?
I have the Garmin Dash 46 mounted right below the frit in the top center of the windshield. I route the wire up in the space above the headline then shove it into the space between the windshield and A-Pillar, then through the dash and A-Pillar, and down the door and under the glove box.
I have heard of people using this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08FQ7C9B8?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
To use the power straight from the rearview mirror and it working fine.
You need the 7-pin adapter: Dongar Technologies Dashcam Power Adapter (Economy 7-pin)
I have this in my 2008 470 and it works great.
If you have a powered rear-view mirror you can try one of these style adapters.
