I thankfully haven't had this issue in pregnancy but that's only because I suffered from this for years and I'm now on a lovely concoction of allergy meds to keep it from happening! Sudafed (the one that requires ID and a signature) is a great option for unsticking it but it's not pregnancy friendly.
I'd recommend Flonase, one spray in the morning and one spray in the evening. That can help shrink the inflamed tissue, which is usually part of the issue with the eustachian tubes. It's also good for allergies, which can play a part.
You can also get a saline spray like this one to rinse your sinuses throughout the day. It can moisturize, flush out dust and irritants, and it can help with congestion.
Also, hydrating will always be helpful.
Maybe see if this treats you any better. Neti pots can not be clean enough and actually give you a sinus infection. This saline is guaranteed to be steril throughout the bottle, unlike neti or squeeze bottle saline.
yea life saver .. use it after every bump . it never gives any stuffy nose .

Yup, it’s not fun. I started using this nasal spray last week and it’s been helping out a bit. Doesn’t go away completely, but does clear it out for a little while.
Have you ever used this stuff? It helps me SO MYCH with allergies. it’s a saline nasal spray and safe for pregnancy.

Arm & hammer nasal spray works decently. If you’re extra stuffed you have to breathe in a bit through your nose while misting it so it’s more effective

When I had covid I had an occasional burning in my nose, it would happen a few times a day and only last for about a minute or two. Sort of felt like when you get pool water up your nose.
This nasal spray helped a bit, it's drug free so you can use it multiple times a day, and it doesn't taste or smell like anything. I hope you feel better soon!
I mean it's not like you're putting an air compressor up your nose. It's regulated and not overwhelmingly powerful (Good way to lose customers).
I also have a neti-type device at home that I use. I find these as a good alternative for situations where a traditional Neti esque solution isn't practical.
I find that you get better irrigation and use less saline with these when compared to a squeeze bottle.
It honestly wasn’t bad. The piercing shop also pierced by double forward helix the same day too, and those sucked lol (one got rejected, lot of bumps)
Daith took me like 1 year until I felt okay switching out the jewelry.
Didn’t hurt too bad. Just was a lot of pressure. I got it for migraines and it helped.
Make sure to only use saline solution. And don’t mess with it. I bought some saline from amazon for less than $10 and it sprays:
Lastly, try not to sleep on it!! Best of luck🖤
Make sure you are drinking a full gallon of water a day exclusive of other liquids you consume and expect it to take 2 weeks to get the full effects and a few months for your bladder and schedule to adjust to the bathrooms breaks.
As a test to see whether or not it is a hydration issue, get a bottle of Simply Saline and see if it loosens mucus or not. If it does, it's a hydration issue, or at least part of it.
And smoke out of quality glass, brother. There's great USA made stuff for every budget out there.
Interesting. I haven't thought of the neti pot as an "alternative sinus medication" since I know lots of people who use it; it is sold at Target, etc.
I haven't had luck with it like some commenters below but loooove Simply Saline.
Saline nasal spray. These are a life saver to use morning + night and there’s zero side effects.
I can't imagine this raising any flags:

i haven’t started accutane yet, but my derm recommended a saline nasal spray to help with the dryness. [this](www.amazon.com/dp/B0013UU9WK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_K18BB7PEW9065BYW9YCA?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1) is the one she told me to get.

A spray in each nostril after you snort will help it dissolve properly.
I use this, it doesn't open up the sinus as well as drugs can, but it helped break up the mucous so it comes out easier when I blow my nose.
try this, it's gold https://www.amazon.com/Simply-Saline-Adult-Nasal-Original/dp/B0013UU9WK/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=saline+nasal+spray&qid=1643823109&sr=8-5

Try this! It’s a saline spray, and easier/cleaner to use than a netti pot
