I recently installed a pair of generic H16 LEDs and while the beam pattern is probably not optimal for actual fog, they do throw a ton more light than the stock bulbs for other conditions.
It should be noted the fitment of these is tricky- use the rubber seals from your old bulbs ( the new ones are too thick) and you have to trim a couple of the plastic tabs on the side of the bulb to fit the plug better. Which sounds hacky, but a pair of these is the same price as one replacement halogen, so it was a worthwhile experiment.
