You can play with your son. Its brutal with 3 and is more for a group of people. Very simple game but rewarding fun.

Flipships is also great fun with family as long as an adult learns the rules and teaches the game. I played with big mix group of young kids and adults in teams and I just did the bookkeeping of ship powers for them. Its pretty much cooperative space invaders mixed with the drinking game quarters.

May I also suggest: King of Tokyo Sushi Go (Party or regular) Rhino Hero Super Battle

100% buy skull. It’s very easy to learn and play, and is casual bluffing and messing with each other. It’s my favorite game and perfect for people who don’t like nerdy board games. I’d also consider Monopoly Deal (the card game) if they know monopoly. One more loud/crazy one that’s easy to play/learn is spaceteam.

Yes it's available on Amazon, but that's not through the Asmodee shop on Amazon, that's another seller, this is the official store listing for Skull, listing it as unavailable without any info about when it will be available. And here is the Asmodee site shop, listing it as out of stock.
