I'd like to add that some recent things I've seen happen is that thieves will photo the cards and put them back so that the owner thinks all is well. Most people will not cancel cards that aren't taken. In most cases, I'll refuse to let anyone handle my card if I cannot see it.
The other thing I've seen is that with these new NFC equipped cards is that sophisticated thieves will walk around with an NFC reader and harvest info by reading it wirelessly. As long as they are within proximity, they'll put it in a sleeve of a jacket, a back pocket, and scan away.
This is why I use an RF blocking wallet.
I use the following, -amex gold -Amex platinum -truist enjoy cash -discover it -chase freedom unlimited -amex BCP -PENFED cash rewards -Lowes card
Plus my drivers license, cc license, costco card AND I have space for cash in the middle. Love this wallet

I have a slim wallet that I carry minimal stuff with me, because I hate the bulk of the phone wallet but also don't see the need to carry a ton of cards unless I actually need them. I got a vaccination card wallet that also fits in my back pocket, just in case.
I'm looking for a new wallet - a small one. There are a bunch of ~$15 "minimalist" wallets on Amazon that are perfect for me, but they all have RFID blocking which is a no no since I keep my metro card in it and don't like taking it out of my wallet when tapping in to the system
I know you all love wallets - any suggestions?
It's just a cheapo minimalist wallet from Amazon. Works well though. Here ya go
I am looking for a wallet with 2 sides that are not RFID blocked, and a center core that is RFID blocking that separates the two signals.
I used both the train and my work pass multiple times every day and find it frustrating that I have to take the cards out to use them if I keep both in the wallet, as their signals interfear.
So I want a wallet that will let me have one on each side that separates them with a non RFID transmittable barrier.
Something that looks like this would do, if it had the two sides that didnt block RFID https://www.amazon.com/Slim-Minimalist-Leather-Wallets-Women/dp/B079DCW7GB/ref=sr_1_9?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1544360936&sr=1-9&nodeID=7072333011&psd=1&keywords=thin+wallet
Anyone know of any?
Thanks!!!
Yeaaaah....

There is a reason I now have This Slim Wallet - When I last cleaned out my wallet I found empty gift cards from 2002 (this was last year when I ordered that wallet), and a paystub from a job I left in 2004.

Among dozens of apt reminder cards and other things.

Phone or nothing.
Try that one from amazon, it's minimalist design might feel similar to not having a wallet like you're use to.
This one looks nice.

I prefer simple, minimalist, non-folding front-pocket wallets with a clear ID window - something like this.
I use a skinny wallet so they both fit in there, like this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079DCW7GB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_ZSASNG7TE52C2V0C47CM?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I use one of those minimalist wallets with key ring.
Closest one I found on Amazon is this
Almost definitely not what you want but worth saying:

I was in a similar boat until I just switched to a slim wallet that just carries a few of my cards and a couple bills. Something like this https://smile.amazon.com/Slim-Minimalist-Leather-Wallets-Women/dp/B079DCW7GB/

Most of my time, all I want are my drivers license, maybe a loyalty card, and whatever credit cards have the best bonuses that quarter. Throw in sixty bucks in twenties and the rest stay at home.
And if I am going on travel (remember when that was a thing?) where paper money is very much a thing? Second cheap wallet (with a zipper for coins) that I'll throw the best card and some ID in and that is it. Leave the main wallet in my bag/at the hotel.

Generally you need to decide on the triangle of capacity, durability, and cost. I prefer to cheat by just doing two. A second wallet takes up barely any room in your bag and you are always going to be carrying one anyway.
And the card wallet is going to stay mostly good since it is just a hunk of faux leather. Wear and tear comes from constantly opening and overloading it. So do that with the one you use MAYBE 10% of the time.

Obviously not a choice for folk who rely heavily on cash but... covid is doing wonders to explain to people why contactless payment is so great.
get a rubber band for your excess cards and get a card holder. Rotate in what you need
