I’m a small lady and drive a CRV, this telescoping snow broom has been immensely helpful in clearing snow off the roof of my car before driving.
I wouldn’t spend a lot on a fancy scraper though, they tend to last a season and then snap due to the temperature differentials.
The Best thing I have found is the Foam snow removal brushes that Car Dealerships use

As a vertically challenged person with a minivan, I bought something very similar to this at the Giant—works great, I was the one who cleared all the snow off the cars while the tall members of my family shoveled. Just a plug for my favorite snow removal device I keep in my car, I highly recommend everyone pick up a Snow Joe: https://www.amazon.com/Snow-Joe-SJBLZD-LED-Telescoping-Headlights/dp/B01DTIC7EG (Non-referral link)
I've had mine for years. The foam head makes pushing & pulling snow off your car super quick, I find that a smaller scraper works better than the one that's on the handle but nothing is better than one of these things for quickly getting bulk amounts of snow off your car before you scrape anything that needs scraping.
no link bud, got it off of kijiji. looks like this
I got these, very helpful for me this morning to reach the top of my small SUV:

The best thing I ever bought! And I have a Toyota Yaris! Bought more for my 2 sons:
Snow Joe SJBLZD Illum-n LED Lighted 4-in-1 Snow Broom Plus Ice Scraper, 1, Blue
But the general gist seems to be, go out to the car some time before you need to start driving, turn it on, turn up the heat, and let it sit for a bit. Then use a brush or a foam broom to get the ice off.

I got this since it’s foam and shouldn’t scratch as much as a brush. It works well with built up snow. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01DTIC7EG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_74XW77AQE2TBQZB9DEYG?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
This is what you want - protects the paint, works effectively

This thing I bought a few years ago has worked nicely.

Definitely don't neglect your appendages! Keeping your hands and feet warm and dry are imperative. Invest in fur-lined, water-proof gloves and boots. Cover those ears and that nose, too!
I second the long down jacket comment. Honestly, I got mine at Walmart and it works just fine. Layer with sweaters/fleece.
I used to be car-free and had to wait out in the cold for a bus everyday. I found that layering my pants helped a lot. I would either wear snow pants over my work pants or long underwear under them. Old Navy makes jeans with something called a "built-in warm." They're awesome and indeed keep you warm :-) Run your clothes through the dryer before putting them on and leaving the house. It's so friggin' cozy putting them on warm!
Invest in things that will help prevent you from spending too much time outside in the cold. Get an automatic car starter, buy a 'Snow Joe' scraper (https://www.amazon.com/Snow-Joe-SJBLZD-LED-Telescoping-Headlights/dp/B01DTIC7EG/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=snow+joe&qid=1602019119&sr=8-1), get a snow blower, stock up on windshield wiper de-icer, buy whatever you can in bulk before Christmas, etc.
I bought this thing on Amazon called a Snow Joe a few years ago. I just push all the snow off when I go out to shovel.
