I wear goggles similar to this here whenever I am in public indoors in addition to my mask. I recommend the KF94 masks, since they seem to be easier to get than N95 and are far more trustworthy than KN95 (since you can't be sure of quality with fakes on the market). Yes, it may look silly and I have definitely been laughed at, but eyes need protecting. Your eyes are definitely an infection pathway.
Goggles and n95 mask should do the trick. If we're talking bio warfare, there's probably something else to look at.
Just picked up a few of these goggles https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QKKX9VF - I watched a shootout of all of the safety glasses and these ones didn't fog up, didn't scratch, and could take some serious hits. Some of the reviews for them were talking about them working well for eye protection during fires and chemical situations. If you really needed to seal them up, duct tape.
I figure if your eyes and lungs are covered, you'll be pretty well off.

Bought these! I’m a nurse and use them daily with patients. No issues with fog up.
Do you have sealed goggles with no air holes/vents? I bought a pair from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QKKX9VF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_ONWwEbWYZTEAZ
Wear an N95 mask and gloves. Do not touch your face, esp. mouth, eyes and nose. Wash hands frequently.
Thanks for this (especially having tested four brands). Here's the (dreaded Amazon) link.
I used these coupled with a P100 mask (Amazon has them in stock now along with the filter cartridges) when we had to go into the office for a week until they realized that was a bad idea. Sat like this for 4 hours then went to have lunch in my car before retruning for another 4 hours.
Oh. Hey, I believe this is it. My mom has sent it to me, but I have not opened the package yet. https://rzmask.com/collections/trademark-masks/products/black-m2-mask there are these charcoal filters that go inside of it that are claimed to be as effective as an n-99. I hope so
I have a couple n-95s that I got before the pandemic started, but I'm so cautiously saving them, for occasions like needing to go to the doctor. So I try to use them only when absolutely needed.
I do have a pair of goggles to protect my eyes. They are very good and make a good seal. Goggles I have
Yeah, if this were any other time I think the PPE would be something I don't think about until it's too late, only because of this situation I have some!
I do have some nitrile-dipped work gloves, as well as latex gloves. I can certainly wear long sleeves and pants, though I do not wear footwear in my house - would socks do the trick? (How long should I keep all this stuff on?) My plan was to treat one room when i arrive at the new house, then put all my belongings (bagged up air tight) in that room. So really glad you mentioned this, as I will need to prepare in the moving truck haha
Hey, you really seem to know your stuff too. Can I ask you a question I can not figure out? With the IGRs (Like gentrol or tekko pro), there are also multiple formulations. Gentrol can come as an aerosol or a point source, tekko pro is a liquid... I now understand that you can use the aerosol vs. point source to get in different areas (and aerosol is probably bad for my case) - but any thoughts on using a point source application vs. liquid spray, for the IGR portion of this? (I know PCDurant mentioned my Gentrol is going to be useful, and I only see it as a point source and aerosol, so I was going to go with the point source of that.)
Either of these are comfortable. I have one of each. Impact resistant, ansi z87+, comfortable.

To be honest, I just got the ISO tunes earbuds and I don't think I'll ever wear ear muffs again. These are so comfortable and convenient. And I can wear protective glasses without my temples hurting due to ear muffs pushing them into my head.
