Personally, I am using a 40-year-old stereo component stand I've owned forever. It looks similar to this one:

I've also, in the past, made custom equipment stands using the shelving planks sold at home improvement stores. It comes in a variety of styles and can easily be cut and screwed together into any shape you desire.
