Is it oven safe? If yes, it might be a soup crock.

Edited to add: I think I found them in a pinterest post https://www.pinterest.ca/pin/479985272758060532/ but alas it seems that Sur La Table no longer sells them. They appear to be called Sur La Table Rustic Old World Italian Double Handle Soup/Chili Bowls and there have been listings for them on eBay in the past so you may be able to find them second hand.
