Pyrethin is cheap. It's a concentrate. You use 1-4 teaspoons per gallon. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00VIALGTA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_G18PGA2NCFMTP309SY8P
Those name brands are super expensive which is why I mix my own. Most are nothing more than a percentage of essential oils (rosemary, lemongrass, thyme, even castor bean and soy bean oil emulsified in water with a wetting agent and some isopropyl. A pint of rosemary oil is only 15 on eBay. Soy would be even cheaper. That can make a gallon or 2 of pesticide.
A natural insecticide is pyrethrin, stuff is crazy expensive now but it isn’t super poisonous. This is an example from Amazon- I’ve never used this brand but this is just an example. https://www.amazon.com/Southern-Ag-10401-Pyrethrin-Concentrate/dp/B00VIALGTA/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?adgrpid=56306946856&gclid=CjwKCAjwoMSWBhAdEiwAVJ2ndjc9MlCPIGv2XBwY2qvMtUckhtxyoD48rt20HjbxnSg3deUJoB-a7BoCwmEQAvD_BwE&hvadid=580859971397&hvdev...
I just checked the product I use: https://www.amazon.com/Southern-Ag-10401-Pyrethrin-Concentrate/dp/B00VIALGTA
It has piperonyl in it as well, so I guess the only difference is neem. I'm sure it doesn't hurt anything to add neem, but like most people when I got into gardening I followed reddit's advice to use neem the first time I got aphids and thrips. I spent a lot of time spraying, tried both the cheap neem and the expensive pure stuff and there was basically no result.
I installed a dehumidifier last weekend and I went from about 70% humidity down to 35% so hopefully that helps.
I'll give the temprid fx a shot outside. Is there anything I can try indoors as well? I was looking at Natural Pyrethrin Concentrate for indoors. Is this a waste of money?
