damn hell of a budget there’s a lot you can do with 1k man lol id search for the lights, tent, and all that other bs separately those kits are kinda ass and you have more than enough to grow some monsters with the right research

As others have said this won't be everything you need, still need growing medium and nutes of some sort, definitely a couple fans for circulation, probably some other random things. But this is a really solid starting point and a good light.

Probably going to go through NASC for seeds. I've seen recommendations for soil on here, but what else do I need to consider?

I'd like top tier results (who doesn't?) but does that come from how it's grown or from the specific seeds?

I've really only smoked a couple of flower strands, as I have my card and vape a kid but would definitely take some suggestions for strains (prefer indica). Also, can the seeds really be guaranteed to be female?

I'm realizing that. Looks like I'll have to save up to be able to go 2x4, because if I go 2x2, that's not going to sustain my QP/month smoking habit very well. If I get a 2x4 I can smoke mostly homegrown and end up with a lot of extra disposable income in the long run. Thanks so much for all your help.

I now have my eyes on this 2x4 spider kit with an SF-2000, and Urban Remo brand nutrients (all of em) from a local grow shop, as well as some coco coir and perlite.

I know from 20 years of experience keeping and breeding tropical fish and shrimp as well as keeping various aquatic plants that bacteria is very important. I also know that in some cases, innoculating soil with a beneficial fungi can be helpful. Would either of these be applicable to Coco Coir? Or is it more of a sterile medium vs soil? Would a mix of soil, a bit of sand, perlite, and added bacteria and fungus result in better yields than coco coir and perlite? I'm thinking go big or go home at this point.
