I got the black spigen case on Amazon. I really like the look and feel. Very natural and doesn't add much bulk. Not jelly so it doesn't stick to your pocket when you put it in and take it out.

I've had this Spigen case for just under a year and I have had no complaints. It grips well, it holds its shape, and, imo, it looks pretty sharp. $12 on Amazon.
Spigen Rugged Armor Nexus 6P Case with Resilient Shock Absorption and Carbon Fiber Design for Nexus 6P 2015 - Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B016CBFBVI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_7NM4ybJ457E28
Ehhh.... Their cases tend to be cheaper on Amazon. Their Pixel cases haven't gone live over there just yet, though – my guess is specifically because of this sale, trying to get people to buy on their site before Amazon.
Most covers that aren't "ultra thin" or "snap on" will do the job just fine. I'm using the Spigen Rugged (not Hybrid) case from Amazon and it suits your requirements. It's probably also one of the best covers I've had for a phone.
Spigen Rugged Armor, $12.99 off of Amazon, has Prime shipping (or Prime One Day with $35 ordered).
It sits higher than the camera bump (crucial to prevent having the chrome ring around the camera from getting scuffed), covers all the buttons save for the notification slider, and fully wraps around the border of the phone. Which the "Protective Cases" from OnePlus doesn't do.
It's not too thick (though thicker than a OnePlus Protective Case), but in exchange it doesn't offer as much protection as an Otterbox, Neo Hybrid or other multi-piece cases.
I have a Spigen Rugged Armor Nexus 6P Case. The logo & 'carbon fiber' pattern are not nearly as visible as in the picture (I forgot they were there until I saw the Amazon page).
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LEZO1ZO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I use these, they won't protect against anything too intense but they are better than nothing and are pretty comfortable to use. I also got the HMD skin as well to match.
They come in different colors too just look for them on Amazon
It's this Spigen case: http://www.amazon.com/Nexus-Spigen-Exact-Fit-Premium-Finish/dp/B01761J26I/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1455647481&sr=8-3&keywords=nexus+6p+spigen
with the white carbon skin from dbrand with the titanium Nexus logo (which comes with the skin) and then the Colored X cutout which you have to select separately: https://dbrand.com/shop/nexus-6p
Enjoy the phone. It's a bit big but without a doubt the best smartphone I've used. Quite good.
Would it work with spigen thin fit P case? It has a pen slot which Id want to have oriented downwards so I can use USB
I bought the "Spigen Ultra Hybrid [Anti-Yellowing Technology] Designed for Google Pixel 6 Pro Case (2021) - Crystal Clear" and it is horrible for me.
Are you talking about the Matte Black one? https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0964GCFRY
>and I don't use the S-Pen at all, because it's impractical to carry around,
Have you tried this case? It's the best for carrying your S-Pen:
I have this one for my Pixel 6 Pro, really like it.

If you don't mind having a bigger phone, I have LOVED this case for my S-Pen. I can't imagine going back to having this phone without it: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0995WPCXJ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Heck, yesterday I was ordering food online with my wife. We downloaded their PDF menu, opened it in Samsung Notes, and everyone in the car circled what they wanted with the pen. 10/10 - just one of many times this thing has proven useful

I've had 5 different cases, another from from these folks that was pretty bad. This case however has been incredible solid for 4 months with no issues so far. For such an expensive phone a lot of the cases are terrible, this one is a easy recommend though.
Spigen Thin Fit P Designed for Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G Case (2021) - Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0995WPCXJ/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_7AMBFW6N745TYAN6DP1M?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
You can access it relatively easily folded, and super easy unfolded. This case has me open up the device a lot more since it's easier to do for some reason. I absolutely hate cases on phones and have had no case or screen protectors on my phones for years (ripped off the Fold 2 screen protectors after a week), but this the first case that offers enough functionality, and doesn't impede as much, for me to use it.

This is the one I'm currently rocking and love it! Hinge protection and feels nice! Would have like to see other color but it does a good job
I purchase a Fold 3 as my personal/work phone, and I can never go back. I ended up getting this case and the S-Pen: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0995WPCXJ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I travel a lot for work and have to run sales/discovery meetings. At a work conference two weeks ago, I was able to do mini-sales demos of a Windows Desktop platform from Figma on-the-fly from my phone, could flip through a sales slide-deck, and then switch into a virtual note-pad effortlessly to take notes/get contact info. I never even turned on my laptop for the entire week. I can't imagine how much of a pain in the ass it would have been without this phone.
I think this phone alone helped me close on my largest client yet. Easily worth the full price I paid at launch.
You can file that money under the "lessons learned" category. If you ever do get your product it will be complete garbage. They will not refund you. I tried to get my money back through Paypal but apparently being trash doesn't fall under "not as described." So I will no longer use Paypal to pay for things. Cocurel is supposedly sending me a new one but I doubt I'll ever see it or it will just go in the recycling like the first one. This case on Amazon is the best I've had for either my Fold 2 or 3. Spigen's case are even more expensive but worth it especially if you have an s pen. Plus, if you don't like it you can return it and get a refund.
I bought the Spigen slim armor. I often for hinge protection. Every broken phone that has been posted here appears to have the hinge damaged. That seems to be the most obvious weak spot. I also have a job that can be rough on phones so I opted with a case that was a little more robust.
If you are into the S-Pen life, I'm loving this one: https://www.amazon.com/Spigen-Thin-Designed-Galaxy-Fold/dp/B0995WPCXJ?pd_rd_w=3imnQ&pf_rd_p=cf1a5a84-8a64-4d2b-b13a-eedb7e66da7d&pf_rd_r=FGH6V85GSHJ0SC2XBX3R&pd_rd_r=b67c14ae-1728-4286-8d43-5b16b764deec&pd_rd_wg=r0uOk&pd_rd_i=B...
I have this case. It's expensive, but the hinge protector juts out when it's open and makes for a nifty grip that my fingers can hold onto. Highly recommend.

If i would daily Fold 3 without a case X2 would be my go to. But i have this monster on my phone. I can still mount my phone with the case inside X2 but it's not as secure as i would like.
LoL, I bought this case in November: https://www.amazon.com/Spigen-Hybrid-Anti-Yellowing-Technology-Designed/dp/B0964GCFRY/ref=sr\_1\_1?keywords=spigen+ultra+hybrid+pixel+6+pro&qid =1643178507&sprefix=Spigen+Ultra+Hybrid+pixel%2Caps%2C146&sr=8-1
there are no problems!
I went with the ultra hybrid. This one:
Spigen Ultra Hybrid [Anti-Yellowing Technology] Designed for Google Pixel 6 Pro Case (2021) - Crystal Clear https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0964GCFRY/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_KPFX9ENSHF84VMGG9182?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
It is not very thick or heavy, but I always want to minimize. Cases just aren't as sleek as the phones themselves.
I'm in the same boat as you, I hate cases but I want to keep this one for a few years (I have a P6P)
I got the Spigen Ultra Hybrid, it is very slim and adds some much needed grip. I believe there is a black color option as well. https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0964GCFRY/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_H99DEBHY5Q0HK8SAKW8P?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
You can also get a dbrand skin if you really really don't want a case, it will add some grip as well.
I ended up switching away from my the leather flip case to the Spigen Thin Fit P. I also liked the extra space provided by the flip case and the thin fit also has that extra space by putting the slide in for the pen there. I was worried that I would not like the wide of the phone having the extra bit when closed but it has not bothered me at all. I was even able to fit it into my Gamesir X2 with the case on.

Ive had this for 2 weeks or so now , it sticks to the phone but has been very strong and is made of a nice rubbery plastic thats hard.
Weird thing about it is that the pen sits the the right of the front screen when closed meaning its just a tad awkward to use thumb print but it never fails , just feels weird rubbing your thumb up against a lip to touch volume and power.
Agreed. May want to check out the New Spigen Case with the Hinge Protection protection included, Fits like a Glove 🧤

3D print a battery mount. It makes the headset fully cordless https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3141858
Also get the Deluxe Audio Strap (DAS). It's great for putting on the vive and other people using it
I'd also recommend getting covers for the headset and controllers. It helps with gripping https://www.amazon.com/Hyperkin-GelShell-Controller-Silicone-2-Pack-PC/dp/B01LEZO1ZO/ref=pd_sbs_1/144-3936431-4407231?pd_rd_w=9qZKJ&pf_rd_p=690958f6-2825-419e-9c16-73ffd4055b65&pf_rd_r=1423XHPXCBT97FTREV1R&pd_rd_r=0b09aa6a-f174-4fde-98...
This is the case I just purchased but it's out of stock and has like a 20 day delivery time ATM

It has great reviews and apparently the pen holder help open up the phone easier.
I had the same problem at first. This may or may not be what you're looking for, but I found the Spigen Slim Armor Pro to be helpful for this. It has a hinge protector that, when you open the Fold, serves as a good place to grip with your fingers while still having your pinky underneath for support. It's also thin enough for wireless charging to work.

Best case on the market. Don't peel the adhesives on the top right of the front section (over the 5g antenna). Or just don't use the adhesives if your worried about then. Personally used all of them but the one mentioned. Phone is still flawless, 2 months later. Not one blemish

There are phone case makers providing super slim cases without any bulk aded to the phone, but usually they aren't transparent and they never protect the screen too. I personally think that that case I posted link for would do better job. I don't know if you would like it tho, I do like it more
Oops, sorry I was referring to the Spigen Ultra Hybrid Crystal Clear. I've had it on my phone since day 1 and I love it!
Spigen Slim Armor Pro [Hinge Coverage] https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0938VVGDQ/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_K96NDBZJ09YFVVJVK57R
Provides decent piece of mind. Though dust can still make it into every crevice, It's inevitable, it does seem to help.
This case will scratch your hinge from rubbing the hinge cover.
Get this case if you think holding it unfolded is uncomfortable! The hing cover makes an excellent little grip! I suppose if you're right handed, that is!
I ordered this case from the Amazon US website (I'm in the UK myself) on the 13th October. Even though he had an estimated delivery window of 8th-22nd November, it arrived on the 27th October. Without a doubt I heavily recommend this case for the Fold3 if you want to have the S Pen with your phone at all times.
I have since noticed, today in fact, that the case has now been put up on Amazon UK:

I really like Spigen cases. I've used them throughout the life of my Pixel 3xl with 0 screen protector and my phone is in perfect condition (just the battery is terrible, Spigen can't solve that lol).
Just ordered this clear Spigen case for my Cloudy/white Pro
I'm planning on getting the Spigen Ultra Hybrid. It's clear and from a well-known brand. They normally have an "S" version with a kickstand. If it comes out later, I might upgrade to that one. I've gotten used to the kickstand with my P3XL.
Here's the link for anyone who wants to check it out:

I ordered it from Amazon as soon as it came out, on September 9th and got it a month later, today. It was cheaper on Amazon than on Spigen's website. Its back ordered now (available this month end) but better to order and wait than to wait until it becomes available (because it may go out of stock again):

I just found a clear Spigen one.

I'll order it to see how it feels size wise.
So interesting thing I discovered with the Spigen Neo Hybrid Kickstand and the Spigen Thin Fit S-pen case.... they fit. They actually fit pretty well. It also lies completely flat on the table with NO wabeling. Unfortunately, as this is too bulky for me, I'll probably end up sticking with the Samsung Aramid case until something else comes out (fingers crossed...)

np glad i was able to help, FYI though, spigen is making its own s-pen case. im probably going to swap my setup to utilize the Neo front cover with the flap back cover, so if that sounds interesting to you maybe hold off. the neo case is in pre order right now
Looks great. I might pick it up when it’s available for me in the UK.

Don't order from Spigen though, head to (US) Amazon for a big price difference ($44.99)!
It's there, but you have to search the exact name for some reason.

Dunno if it's a typo or not, but I jumped on the Amazon listing!
I have the spigen slim armor pro installed and its a really substantial case - I bought it because it was basically the only case on the market that fully protects the phone and the hinge. The biggest issue that I have with it is that you basically have to install it onto the phone as something that is semi-permanent. The inside has stickers that keep it on the phone. Stickers are already on the case out of the box, but they give you spare ones just in case something goes wrong. That just in case applied to me, as the stickers were not sticky enough to keep the outer screen part of the case on the phone when unfolding the inner screen. It kept coming off. After removing that part and applying the spare stickers, I was able to get it to work and stay. Only thing is I know that if I ever removed the case, I would be screwed given there are not enough spare stickers to re-apply. As a result, it is likely that I will keep this case on the phone for my entire use of it. Definitely complicated, but peace of mind is worth any price. Luckily I got it right.

Re. XXXX suggestion: he nailed it, and I had the same idea and implemented it in a quick and dirty manner...
You can find pics of it in the user pictures on the product page on Amazon.de
This is the best solution, but requires the pen to be magnetic. Without such a pen, they need to add a bit of bulk by adding a clip or a slide in compartment. I love my solution and prefer it to a built in slot.it even doubles as a grip.

This is what I have on mine now.
If you want a good case just get the carbon fiber spigen case from Amazon: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B016CBFBVI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_OMdzCb67XW8Z5
I have had this case for about 2 years now and have dropped my phone more times than I'd like to admit and have no dents/scratches on the phone screen. As for a screen protector just get any tempered glass protector. The 6p is such a nice phone hope you'll enjoy it, I just changed the battery recently and probably going to keep this phone till it officially gives out.
What kind of case and problem with holding are you imagining? I have this case and it would work perfectly fine on a phone with 0% bezel and it would be just as easy to hold.
https://smile.amazon.com/Spigen-Rugged-Resilient-Absorption-Carbon/dp/B016CBFBVI?sa-no-redirect=1
I have these in white
You have no idea how many times you'll bang them together trying to pull the pin out of a grenade. Just buy them. Much less frequently I hit myself in the HMD, these are perfect for softening those blows as well. I also don't recommend any other brands as I've never tried them and these had the best reviews when I got them.
Sure does. Not as bulky as the ZeroLemon I had on my G3.
I wish they were cheaper. Already had to buy two replacements after killing my original two controllers with sweat damage. Tip - check these out. I got them a few months ago and they do a great job of protecting the controllers from sweat and scratches.
Yea I've tried these as well and the same issue persists. Upon reflection maybe my case is causing it to be nudged in some way. It's this one https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01H3PEWDK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_lShHAb3SENHE6
I tried a few and landed on this one.
It's fit the bill for me, someone who usually goes without a case on their phones. But the 3T was a little too smooth, so I wanted something thin that would give me just a bit more grip.
I've had three cases for my N6, none of them are as good as this one. It's slim and still has protection. Don't even bother with Spigen or Ringke. With those, you're either buying for something that looks kind of cool with no protection whatsoever, or you're buying a big, ugly case that adds an inch to the thickness and ruins the overall design of your phone. Supcase has addressed these issues perfectly. Plus, you can get it for $10 on their website- with free 5 day shipping- with a promo code that you can find with a google search.
EDIT: Oh yeah, I forgot to also add that it has the dimple on the back of the case for the motorola logo. What more could you want OP.
I've got this one https://www.amazon.com/Spigen-Rugged-OnePlus-Resilient-Absorption/dp/B01H3PEWDK and its probably the best case you can purchase for your device, it looks damn awesome and protects it very well, no need for tempered glass
I respect your opinion but I have mine as well. A drop from at least waist high on concrete will almost certainly do some sort of damage after a few times.
With a screen protector on my phone, it protrudes a bit past the lip of the case. If it drops flush face down it could probably break the TGSP and do some damage below it.
I had the SUPCASE Unicorn Beetle on my N6 which had a great lip, body and feel to it. Even after 2.5 years it still looked awesome. I wish there was something similar on the market right now.
I bought this Spigen case for my 6P and I love it. It's the only case I could find that actually looked good and wasn't massive on the phone. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B016CBFBVI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I'm a huge fan of this case it's really the only case I've ever used on any phone that I don't feel a compulsive need to strip off.
I also don't have a screen protector and despite having a fairly rough job at times I only have a few very minor superficial scratches that I can only see with the screen off, a freshly cleaned screen and the light hitting it just right.

I knocked over my display (my desk faces the play area) and scraped a controller against the wall hard. No serious damage but...
I was having so much fun, I didn't even care. I just laughed.
You might want some gel controller covers though. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LEZO1ZO
Thanks for sharing
I was printing the cups, but on about 70% it broke (Y axe not calibrated properly, moved the whole part from the spot so i had to stop) I have to recalibrate my printer and try it again.
I suggest using duct tape. Its what im using for my current stock. Or buy those silicone covers, should work great too (heard from Protubevr creator he tested and they work as good as the ones with it).
https://www.amazon.com/Hyperkin-GelShell-Controller-Silicone-Skin-2-Pack/dp/B01LEZO1ZO
Any Anker charger/cable, although they have quickcharge variants and the N6 supports quick charging.
I mean this is certainly true, but usually I have my phone and it's charged already. It's kinda like "the camera you have." I'm not charging a GPS or music player or book reader or alarm clock because I just use my phone for all that.
And if charging stuff is a problem, I highly recommend using a phone with a removable battery and getting a ZeroLemon replacement extended battery. I get about two days of what I would consider "heavy use" out of my phone with mine.
I have the Pixel XL and I can say I am completely happy with it (Switched to ProjectFi as well, I only use a little over a gig a month so its pretty cheap).
Battery life has been amazing. I don't use my phone a whole lot (browsing reddit, reading work emails, occasional youtube videos, looking up stuff, I might try a game every now and again but I prefer pc for that) and I probably get a solid two days in between charges to 70-80%. I'll occasionally charge to 100% if I'm going to be using a lot of GPS or something.
Performance wise no complaints either, everything feels really snappy and I haven't noticed and lag. I'd recommend a case because the metal body is slippery if your hands are dry, and one time it slipped out of my pocket onto the concrete when I knelt down putting a nice little scuff on the corner. I bought the following case and screen protector
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LZT3PGR/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
The two pack of screen protectors is nice because you will eventually break one, I know I did.
Don't think it would stop ribbons from coming loose, but I use these and they at least stop scuffs and scratches both on my walls and on the controllers as well. I'm sure they absorb a little bit of the impact in larger hits, but I doubt its anything substantial.
They are a great product though. I got them in white with for the HMD to match, and they both fit perfectly and look dope too.
Looks very similar to the supcase which I'm a big fan of. Been using this for about 2 years. The rubber sides occasionally come off of the plastic back but I don't find it to be too annoying.
This is the case I have, it's not exactly the same but it looks like it's not too far off. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01H3PEWDK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_G9zUybMWFXQHV
Also, it's a great case. Hope this helps.
Spigen Rugged Armor Google Pixel XL Case with Resilient Shock Absorption and Carbon Fiber Design for Google Pixel XL 2016 - Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M1EEXWJ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_TzhNybQ9F5K0Y
Tried a few this is the best no joke. Good protection and the power button has texture.
You actually care about Qi charging? It was a "meh" factor for me and I could never get it to work on my 6 without taking it out of its case. It wasn't even a particularly thick case, since Otterbox never gave it any love. I had it in one of one of these, same case I bought for my 6P.
Hear ya on the rest of the stuff, particularly the front facing speakers. That was the final factor that convinced me the 6P was a better buy than the Pixel, although the $200 cost savings and immediate availability of the 6P were certainly influences as well. :)
I picked up the Hyperkin silicone shells. here They keep it from getting scratched and absorb a small amount of the shock from contact.
Yeah I agree, the wood cases look cool, but I don't think they will do much to protect the phone. This case also does put a lip around the screen like the otterbox cases which should help a lot too - but i love this phone so much i'll do everything i can to not drop it, the case is just there for daily protection from scuffs and etc lol - i also love how the buttons are covered so they don't get liquid in them and stuff (nexus 4 got a tiny drop of water under the button and the volume rocker started working very randomly)
Thats a good piece of info on moving photos and such, thanks for that!
Was mainly asking for apps cause I see alot of people on this board talking about different updates and such but have no clue as to what they are; any kind that enhance the phone really.
Is this the case you were referring too - https://www.amazon.co.uk/OnePlus-Impressionante-Meccanica-Durevole-Protezione/dp/B01H3PEWDK? Looks simple design which is nice.
Ill look into a TGSP at a later date then, definitely dont want the rainbow effect really.
I did compare the size of my IPhone to a OP3T in a store and it was ridiculous, I find the IPhone screen way to small now making it hard to text.
Wow, that's a pretty hardcore case compared to the Spigen Thin Fit on mine.
Incidentally, I read out your story to my wife and her response was, "Where the hell does that guy work??"
What works:
Headphone jack
Removable battery (I have this 3x extended battery)
IR blaster
SD Card
What doesn't work
Phone bootloops
u tell me!!
Don't forget to buy me a beer and click Thanks if this helped you!
Probably. It's what I use on my phone. It's $10 on Amazon Prime so you can't go wrong.
I did get the same case for my wife's 5x in green (or frost ice as they call it). That's was slippery. The black one for the 6p is just fine though.
People buy floor mats so they can turn the Chaperone off. If you're okay with a grid popping up in front of you when you get too close to the boundaries of your play space, then you don't need a mat.
As for padding the walls, people buy those after they've destroyed their first controller from punching a wall. If you are able to turn off that animalistic part of your brain that convinces you what you're experiencing is real, then you don't have to worry about padding your walls. But almost nobody is able to do that right away -- especially when they're new to VR -- so I'd recommend buying some skins for your controllers (and possibly headset too).
I'm loving this Spigen Rugged case so far. Very easy to pop on/off and it looks great

OP do you happen to have the Spigen Rugged Armor case? I was considering getting that case but if it causes issues then I might have to reconsider.
This is the one I have and I cannot fit the curved tempered glass in. Maybe I should try a different brand..
I'm using the Spigen Roughed Armor case but Spigen also makes a great all clear case.
Roughed Armor:

Clear case:
There are several well reviewed controller covers on Amazon, ie: https://www.amazon.com/Hyperkin-Vive-GelShell-Wand-Silicone-Skin/dp/B01LEZO1ZO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1482430551&sr=8-1&keywords=vive+controller
I have the Spigen Rugged Armor Case and man I love this case. The design is superb and it's very grippy. I know this phone won't be slipping out of my hands.
No kickstand though, but it is a great case.
