Yawp!! Written by Kathleen Duey. And no its not a 'movie to book' title; this was a book first.

I'd also recommend Black Beauty, a great horse book classic if you've not read that one. (The 80s tv series was excellent but the book is still best lol). I've read a few other great horse adventure books over the years that I'm blanking on titles right now but if you'd like to hear them I can go search my library :).
