They have umbrellas you can clip on the seat btw. It might not look 'cool' but it will keep you cooler for sure. It can easily come on/off.
In US they have one that has thousands of reviews, same exact thing if thats where you're at. Just make sure to get large if you do.. Nice thing is it cools your upper body down by keeping it out of the sun but it also allows for a place to clip a cheap USB style fan and if the fan takes a dunk, it'll get ruined but they are very cheap and most people dont flip their sit-on-tops routinely.
Not offended but there are lots of options and I don't know what your limitations are. The umbrella option didn't work or too heavy? If thats too heavy then going with a couple of clip on golf umbrella like this Might be the way to go.
There’s personal umbrellas that clip to your camping chairs if you need extra shade. Although there is lots of shade around camp, just not much by the pods
I use this. It's worked pretty well for me and held up to some wind. It's longer on one side than the other which has actually been beneficial so I can orient it to protect my canvas and palette but not block my view.
I'm in the wet (boonie)hat camp. I think this year I might try sticking a Sport-brella on my kayak. We also freeze water bottles so we always have some icy water on hand. Drop one of those in your lap to thaw and it'll cool you off.
A comfy lawn chair and an attachable umbrella like this https://www.amazon.com/Sport-Brella-Versa-Brella-Swiveling-Umbrella-Midnight/dp/B00HA2ZKCO/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=chair+umbrella&qid=1629152093&sprefix=chair+umbrella&sr=8-1.
Any oublic space. Shit go work on the sidewalk on 24th and mission where everyone is hustling. Or chill at the beach in pacifica. Or go to dolores or alamo or a quieter park. It does open up a lot. You can also mix this with cafes/ bars/ etc and plan your day out.
Here is a random day working remote:
Morning progressive grounds on cortland and get an espresso drink and work inside or outside. They down with people working there. Walk down to precita park. Work from there for an hour.
Walk to haus. Work inside or outside there for a while.
Go get lunch. Maybe walk to valencia and grab a sandwich and head to dolores. Now u can work from dolores.
Afternoon getting there. Now finish up work at 500 club or walk over to lower haight and hit molotovs and alamo.
You can route your day or part of your day and still get all your work done.
Ive been working partially remote for a few years and sf is a great city for it. Also the free rooftops and aalesforce park into reds java into a ballgame.
Like u can create your own adventure.
Bart to oak and do the same type of thing
Caltrain to burlingame and use the public library patio. It is dope and usually empty.
Like u can work anywhere. Probably easier if vaccinated and no comorbidities if covid a concern.
Shit DM me and ill do a remote work day with you for part of the day.
I don't have any advice specifically about this but in light of the other comment maybe something like this would be helpful? https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00HA2ZKCO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_CMZJFE1B3Z5PEQ3GVKZ1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I have one and I use it for something else but a lot of the reviews mention it's great for shading a wheelchair.
Good luck! It's dorky AF but I've found that this helps a lot in the summer sun. Also acts a good sail
try to find an umbrella with a clamp on it
Bags and cupholder have already been mentioned. It is super annoying to not be able to carry things and move at the same time.
The sportbrella attaches to almost everything.

The reacher grabber with the suction cup ends because the others suck. It can reach cans down from high shelves in the grocery store or pick up an egg without breaking it.
