If you have Amazon Prime and don’t have time to run around to different stores. You will need to use the SIM card in that packaging with the letter D identifier.
Edit: Clarification
Thanks. At the time I preordered my Note, there was no option to include a Sprint SIM card like it is now. I'm just glad I thought to ask before the phone arrived.
After reading the advice provided here, I ordered this SIM kit from Amazon: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07SWDX7BF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_MDZwDbN9H3FJV
I'm pretty confident that the SIM I need is included.
I got this kit when I changed from a 6s+ to an iPhone 11, had four variable-sized Sprint SIMS in the kit. To be fair, I couldn't figure out which SIM was which (there didn't seem to be a type stamped on them) but by trial-and-error I found the right one.
I mean, for $2.99 how can you go wrong (and free next-day shipping with Prime, don't know how Amazon survives).
Just an option.
It needs the appropriate Sprint SIM card, which you can get from Tello or somewhere else. Mine has the SIMOLW406TQ SIM, but the SIMOLW506TQ (available in the BYOD pack for 3 bucks at Amazon) is supposed to work too.
Here is the list for refrence:

They do have it on sale on Amazon at the moment:

I know this is for the SE, but it's probably like our unlocked iPhone 11. We were able to get it onto boost by following the instructions in this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/BoostMobile/comments/dp21rf/ladies_and_gentlemeni_found_our_iphone_1111_pro11/

I bought the exact phone (unlocked Moto g6) from eBay for ~$87 billed as open box a few months ago - it arrived as brand new. I'm a cheap ass, but this is definitely the phone you want - best budget phone out there. Don't nickle and dime here.
You need to buy a sim card for it. The cheapest services run on Sprint, so you need a Sprint sim. $3 from Amazon plus shipping.
Table that shows which sim card model# you need for Moto g6 in case you want to purchase elsewhere ( it is "simolw416q") https://s4gru.com/forums/topic/7833-the-s4gru-aio-byod-sim-compatibility-chart/
If you buy it from Amazon:
Sprint Sim Kit - Your Phone. Our Plan. - Unlimited Plans Starting $25/Month https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07SWDX7BF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_yEOKDb81WT77K
I happily used Tello for 2 yrs for cheap ($10 + tax lasted me a year of use with their PAYG service)
But now all is changing.
The minimum now to start service is $20, and you have to recharge for $20 every 3 months. So it will cost $80 per year, which is still decent at a little less than $7 a month. The rates come out to be 1 cent/ min for calls and texting, 2 cent/mb for data. And I believe the balance rolls over indefinitely ( just emailed them to make sure and awaiting their response).
You could also sign up for the monthly plan, which is $5 or $6 at minimum per month, which is no data and 100 mins voice and free texting I believe. Verify that.
I also need to checkout pageplus and also another service called twillio or something like that.
Very dissappointed with Tello's rate inc, but yes, they still might be the best option out there for users like us.
You cannot (usually) simply move a SIM from one phone to another phone on the Sprint network. There are multiple different SIM types, and you have to have the correct type for your phone.
The good news: she can definitely keep her old number. If her number is currently on Tello, it's simply a matter of telling the system that you're swapping phones, once you're prepared with the new SIM card. (You can do it online in your account dashboard, and the change will be almost immediate.)
You can purchase a SIM from Tello. I think if you enter your phone IMEI/MEID here, it will tell you the correct SIM & cost:
https://tello.com/bring_your_own_phone
Or you can buy a SIM card kit from a source like Amazon: here, for $3 + shipping (free shipping with Amazon Prime.)
https://www.amazon.com/Sprint-Sim-Kit-Unlimited-Starting/dp/B07SWDX7BF
It uses SIMOLW506TQ.
If you are buying the SIM from Amazon make sure it is the offical one sold by Sprint that is Amazon Prime eligible.

Amazon Sprint sim kit but it's out of stock right now.
The iPhone 8 SIM is not not compatible. You’d have to order a new SIM from Sprint/T-Mobile. The Apple store is also known to carry SIM cards. Changing SIM cards has no impact to your plan.

https://www.amazon.com/Sprint-Sim-Kit-Unlimited-Starting/dp/B07SWDX7BF/
you can buy one with the correct part number first, ebay also has $3 i think
The cheapest way I found was to get a Sprint starter sim from Amazon, I got this one but it's out of stock now: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07SWDX7BF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Then I got a plan from Tello, when I tried it they had a sale going for 1 month unlimited.
For me I found my coverage at my office was great, but at home it was spotty even outside.
Yup. I JUST started having this problem yesterday on my own Pixel 3a. I delete my eSIM quite often, and this is the first time I've had this happen. I have Kickstart v1 and the "Line On Us". I have a feeling it has to do with the "Essentials" plan being added or T-Mobile is slowly finding ways to kick us off this plan in time. Sneaky.
Anyway what /u/Nickkel71 said just go to the website here and activate another placeholder device.
Alternatively (because I haven't been into a Sprint store in 10+ years and I don't plan to start now), just order this SIM kit off Amazon. If you have Prime it's $0.99 shipped. Activate it normally with the SIM kit (SIMOLW516TQ) using your normal non-eSIM IMEI, you don't even need to complete activation or insert the SIM at all.
Then use your eSIM IMEI (can be found in Settings) and activate it again here. Now when you go through eSIM setup on the Pixel, after you select Sprint it will detect the activation and download the eSIM for you and activate.
Last thing in case you end up with this problem or anyone else does: If you get stuck being kicked to the "Scan a QR code" screen and it bypasses the "Google Fi, att, Sprint, or another carrier" option, then make sure you clear data and cache from the Carrier Services app, and when you go through eSIM setup again it should reappear.
TL;DR: T-Mobile will pry my KickStart v1 plan from my cold, dead hands before I give it up.
99 cents on Amazon. I think these will work
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07SWDX7BF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I just activated an Alcatel Go Flip from Boost. I didn't have to unlock it, but not sure if it auto-unlocked because it was on Boost for a while. Get the SIM kit from Amazon for $1 vs $10 through Tello https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07SWDX7BF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
iPhone 5s uses SIMOLW506C according to the Tello device checker. Check if this is the same info u got on their page.
$0.99 Sprint SIM kit on Amazon. Read reviews.

$1 from Amazon with Prime:

There are four different types of Sprint SIMs: SIM Part A, Part B, Part C, and Part D. Each phone works with only one of those Parts, so there's a chance that choosing the Android SIM option would give you an incompatible part for your iPhone.
What I did was order the Sprint SIM kit from Amazon for $3 which 4 SIM cards (1 of each type) and picked the existing SIM option on eBay. Once I received the SIM I looked at the SIM Part chart on Sprint's website.
In this case an iPhone 5C would be the Sprint Part A sim.
Use that SIM for your 5C once you get it and you should be good to go.

After digging on the sprint website i see they now have a listing for g8 and g8 plus "sophia" (this was the code name for the g power and stylus before the phones were announced if im not mistaken)
this is part number 760492036429 which is the simolw506tq "sim card C" included in the 4 in 1 byod kit available on amazon
I haven't tried this myself as i dont have my phone yet, but for those struggling it would be something to try as the 4 in 1 kit is easily available on prime.

if you need another sim in the future, buy it from amazon.
if your old Sprint sim is giving you problems, maybe a new one will help. the kit above contains 4 sims. you can check which sim your phone uses and reserve the other 3 sims for future use. sadly, but the less you interact with sprint, the less complications you will encounter. and people here are more knowledgeable and always a huge help!
Just wanted to thank you u/tribecatechie for the great info! We got an unlocked ipho11 today from apple and bought the sprint sim card kit on amazon (link below), which came with the SIMOLW516TQ sim.
- Popped in the sim without turning the unit on.
- Tried to activate it online, Denied.
- Called boost tech #1, they only asked for the phone info. Denied.
- Called boost tech #2, they asked for the phone info AND the sim card info. CONFIRMED!
We now have a fully functional ipho11 on boost. Thanks for doing the legwork and helping all of us out!
FYI - each call was about an hour long. Have patience, and time :)
So when they ask what kind of phone is it...do you tell them its a Iphone 11 or are they not supposed to know? (got mine from best buy and I know its going to be locked on whatever carrier I set it up on)

Can you do this online or gotta be over the phone with a rep?

Thanks for doing the homework on this!
which is a kit that includes sims for all current phones.
