So it will cost $80 per year, which is still decent at a little less than $7 a month. The rates come out to be 1 cent/ min for calls and texting, 2 cent/mb for data. And I believe the balance rolls over indefinitely ( just emailed them to make sure and awaiting their response).\r\n\r\nYou could also sign up for the monthly plan, which is $5 or $6 at minimum per month, which is no data and 100 mins voice and free texting I believe. There are multiple different SIM types, and you have to have the correct type for your phone.\r\n\r\n   The good news:  she can definitely keep her old number.  If her number is currently on Tello, it's simply a matter of telling the system that you're swapping phones, once you're prepared with the new SIM card.  (You can do it online in your account dashboard, and the change will be almost immediate.)\r\n\r\n  You can purchase a SIM from Tello.
