I think that, aside from the handle, you'll also find the blade shape of the Dragonfly is, in general, more suitable for EDC tasks.
I highly recommend the Dragonfly. I own three. And I also own a whole bunch of other Spydercos, among them lots of small ones... the Chicago, the Cat, the Cricket, the Squeak, the Kiwi, to name a few. And while I like them all (especially the Squeak and the Kiwi) the Dragonfly is my go to small Spyderco knife. It ranks at the top of my small Spydercos.
I have no problem whatsoever with FRN; I'm used to knives with both G10 and FRN handles. And I like how lightweight yet durable FRN tends to be.
In fact, if you're leaning towards spending the extra money on the G10 Dragonfly, I'd first recommend checking out the FRN ZDP-189 model of the Dragonfly. I love this knife. The ZDP steel is some of the best I've ever used for an EDC knife. And if it were up to me, I would take the high quality blade over the G10 handle. Plus, it's even less expensive than the G10 model. You'll save yourself 15 bucks and, in my opinion, get an overall better knife.
Hope this helps.
