As previously stated, Kershaw will replace the blade for $10.
If you are just looking for something else around that price range, I personally love my Spyderco Tenacious. It is a very different knife though, not assisted open or anything. Worth a look, though: [link]
Get them a good pocket knife. You can find amazing ones for under $50. I always have one on me, and I use it daily in the restaurant. Preferably something you can open/close with one hand.
I'd recommend a Spyderco Tenacious. I got my younger brother one as a gift, and it's a great knife that we both love.
I really like the Sypderco Tenacious. It is my current EDC and I use it almost daily
There it is.
Spyderco Tenacious Folding Knife, G-10 Black Handle, Plain Edge, Black Blade [link]
Personally I like having one large locking blade that is clipped to my pocket for easy retrieval and use and a multitool. I would probably refine the selection to something like a Leatherman Juice (more useful than the huntsman IMHO). Then add a nice EDC sized knife like the kershaw injection, ESEE Avispa / ESEE Zancudo, Spyderco Tenacious, or Ontario Rat or Utilitac II.
Not sure what you're budget is, but you're talking about less than $100 for the whole system at that point.
