Hey, I really appreciate the detailed reply. I have this spigot and I paused brewing last fall and never cleaned it. Starting up brewing again in my 2 gallon glass Anchor Hocking vessel. I went to clean the spigot with Distilled White Vinegar and Q-tips and there was a lot of gray residue on the q tips at first. I got all the residue off, ran the spigot under hot water and decided it was fine to use and the residue was most likely because I left it uncleaned for almost a year. But on every spigot on amazon including the one I bought there’s a person saying that the part the kombucha flows out of is not real stainless and rusts and has corrosion (this is the part of mine that had the residue as well).
I posted about it a few days ago but didn’t get too much traction. It’s scary to me that so many people recommend these amazon spigots and they could be harmful. I also looked into the part of the spigot that goes into the vessel, and saw a small plastic/rubber/silicone O ring where the ball mechanism covers when closed. If it’s silicone then I’m guessing it’s fine? But there’s no real way to know.
I’m glad you’ve been having luck with your kombucha Kamp spigot and vessel. They seem like a good company and I hope/think they would hold whatever factory they use in China to the highest production standards. Definitely looking forward to your reply after you look at your spigot more closely! Pics would also be appreciated if it’s not too much effort. Thanks again for responding to a very anxious fellow kombucha maker haha
Bought it separately. Here's the link the to the one I got, but there is a pretty decent selection on Amazon.

that review suggests getting a metal spigot instead, this is not that much more expensive if in doubt.
Yup, I have the same one as u/Kom_bu_cha, this same model is offered under a variety of names, probably all made in the same factory in Asia lol. I'm happy with it, I have no leakings at all.
For example this one is the same: https://www.amazon.com/Stainless-Works-SSS010-Beverage-Dispenser/dp/B00IX87W1Q
The model I have is this one: Amazon germany
Looks ok, I just prefer to have a metal spigot. This is a big pricey for a glass jar IMO.
I use this to ferment and dispense when bottling: http://www.target.com/p/1-5gal-glass-beverage-dispenser-clear-navy/-/A-50398482
I bought this for it because I don't like plastic: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IX87W1Q/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_0
I bought two of these from LCI, the same design from sceptor. With the cheapest price that I've been able to find. Free shipping over $50 and I bought two cans for $26 each. I also have a 2.5 gallon one I bought off a buddy.
They are a hassle to pour out though if you are camping and need only a bit. I bought this spout last spring and drilled a hole in the bottom of one of the cans and installed it. It works so well and doesn't leak at all.
