I would just splice a new usb micro connector onto the existing cable, like this [link]
Get a cheap micro usb extension cable such as this:
Then plug the charger into the cable, if necessary tape in place, and be careful with the end plugged into your phone.
But with an s7, a Samsung charger will charge you faster... ;-)
Oh I see it now, I had to zoom in on that part. I couldn't find out much about where to buy this exact cable as a replacement. But, if you're good with a soldering iron, you can easily splice one of these onto that cable.
From the Kickstarter page itself describing their app, DashLinQ:
>It features Web Radio, Spotify, Google Music and Local music (stored on your phone) plugins that allow for seamless car stereo integration.
So I would guess you have to use their app, but it does support Google Music.
What do you mean by swap cables? There is circuitry in the cable itself, so I doubt you can replace it with any old cable. But if it's the micro-usb portion of the cable that's getting eaten up, I'd suggest getting a short extension cable like this that you could replace periodically.
They've been really responsive via email, so if you want more info, I'd just email them directly.
Have you tried a micro USB extension cable? They come in many lengths and should work to carry whatever strange pin out is used. Here’s one on Amazon that’s 20” and costs $4.65
