Those books look like they're more about the economics and social aspects of art, particularly in a certain context, i.e. the high dollar art world in big cities like NYC or LA. I haven't read them, but that's the impression I get from the synopses. The book I'm recommending is more the ins and outs of starting a career as an artist in general. I don't think you're going to get a realistic idea of how most artists sell their work or just survive by looking only at that context.

The authors Wojak and Miller are both artists and have taught at art schools, so they've got experience and have helped students with professional development.
