If you follow that link, there is a link to an Excel document analyzing deals, and dollars per capita by state from 2010-2016.
For California, it's 4.83 deals and $799.33 per capita.
It comes in second to Massachusetts (5.83 deals, $891.52), but considering the approximately 33 million difference in population, I think it's still blowing everyone else out of the water.
3rd place is New York., at 3.04 deals and $377.51, and it continues to drop after that.
Here's to the development of new venture hubs, I'm going to do what I can.
