Yo guys, Steam link is $19.99 right now on Amazon if anyone's interested!!
I think the deal will end within 24 hours so be quick - saw it on the "today's deals" section.
I just placed my order (with a bunch of other stuff). Can't wait :D
Also FYI for anyone who is looking into getting a Steam Link, it is currently on sale for $20.00 on amazon.
I was on the fence but decided to pick one up today :)
Same price on Amazon in case you don't want to deal with GameStop.
Pretty typical sale price for this, so don't think you need to jump on it immediately if you're on the fence. We'll see this price again.
My PC and my TV aren’t that close to each other. I’ve been using Steam Link for years: Steam Link https://www.amazon.com/dp/B016XBGWAQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_AVQXGT5VDJ9HTQB11QJW
Less for video games (although I do use it for that from time to time) but more for mirroring my web browser onto my TV, sound and all. Start sailing the seven seas.
The Steam Link is also on sale for $35 (Free shipping for Prime).
It seems that when Steam puts them on sale, so does Amazon.
I have both and I think the Steam Controller is way better than the XBOX controllers. The customization for each game, especially those that don't have built in controller support, is very nice.
An example of something I could set up with my Steam Controller, but not an XBOX one is in Rocket League. The Steam Controller lets you set an action for the analog trigger pull, but there is also a button if you pull the trigger fully. So I set the gas up as the analog trigger, and turbo/boost for the button when you give it a full pull. Using one trigger for both actions.
I will admit the controller isn't for everyone. I still play most FPS games with a keyboard/mouse, but that'd due to over a decade of habit. Get it. Don't. It doesn't matter. Just keep playing games the way you see fit.
Is the Steam Link used or BNIB?
if used, there's a BRAND NEW Steam Link right now on Amazon for the same price, free shipping.
I am not based in the US, so unfortunately, due to regional restrictions, Steam does not allow me to gift any hardware.
However, this item is available on Amazon.com. Are you able to create an amazon wishlist for this?
Steam Link is cheaper on Amazon with free prime shipping my dude
Yah... this is your easiest wireless solution. I guess if u use steam? Might work with other games. Plug this into your tv and you will be able to play the games from your computer over your network.https://www.amazon.com/Steam-Link-pc/dp/B016XBGWAQ?ref_=fsclp_pl_dp_1
Would this be equivalent to the Steam Link, or do you think it would work better? I actually have a Steam Link, and unfortunately it doesn't work that well - there are pretty frequent blips in the connection, and the graphical quality is substantially degraded. Might just be an artifact of how my house is set up, not sure. I looked into the newer Nvidia Shield TV options, but it wasn't clear if those were any better either...
np! I'd actually recommend buying it from Amazon personally, it's faster shipping. (5-7 days instead of 3 weeks)
Yeah, sorry for not including it in my original comment. I was on mobile at the time and had it on my PC. It's showing a delivery date of July 26 for me.
How are you streaming? Via WiFi? If so that is a bad idea. You should try first using a LAN cable. You can get 100 feets of cable at around 15 bucks in Amazon. If the video keeps hanging with a LAN cable then your laptop is not good enough and you will be better off getting a Steam Link.
Also, changing the subject, with two Furies you should consider upgrading to a RyZen CPU when they come out.
Here is the link for $20.
Steam Link for $19.99
Edit: That is if you want to just buy it outright without trading the Apple TV for it.
My wife buys daughter's cloths from NEXT UK website, and she said that she saw the same items at NEXT here being sold at a 30-50% higher price. Shipping cost included.
I saw Steamlink yesterday at Carrefour being sold for 360 AED. I bought it for around 125 AED (shipping included) from Amazon US during the recent Blackfriday sales. During normal days, the item costs 48 dollars (175 AED) on Amazon or Steam website. That's almost 50% cheaper than Carrefour.
Steam has the SteamLink which basically lets you play games on your TV using your desktop's CPU and GPU. https://www.amazon.com/Steam-Link/dp/B016XBGWAQ/
I believe the way it works is you link a wireless mouse and keyboard to it. Often goes on sale for $35, especially during Steam sales.
It's on sale right now for only $35. I got one a few weeks ago and it's totally worth it. My computer is upstairs and the steam link is hooked up to my tv downstairs both connected to powerline adapters. There's virtually no lag, I've been able to play though all of Dark Souls 3 which requires pretty great timing, not sure about something like online shooters though. It's even great just to minimize steam and be able to watch movies on my computer from downstairs.
> Because he enjoys playing on his Xbox from the comfort of his couch, and doesn't want to deal with the hassle of hooking his PC up to his TV.
> Or he is like me, and his PC is having issues and he would rather have the reliability and potentially better graphics than his older PC.
> I have purchased many games for my PS4 that I own on PC, just simply be cause I prefer playing some games on my ps4.

I understand consoles just fine. They're a cheap way to get into gaming that's simply plug in and go, it's easy, it's simple and you can play any current game. And Sony and MS did some pretty smart things to deliver games at a low price, like using
I was talking to a PC gamer who wanted a way to play games on his TV in another room. I provided him with a way to do it that will cost him less money and preform better with a platform he already owns. I don't really care if you stay on Xbox, if that makes you happy, then fine. I've been trying to calmly explain how PC works and how he can play on his TV, I'm sorry you don't like my answer, but that's just how it is.
If you don't believe me, here's the Steam Link. but again, you're an Xbox player and it's fine to not want to spend more money and build a PC yourself when you have a gaming machine already, it's just ignorant to say that I'm wrong and don't understand how a multi billion dollar industry works.
Steam don't currently sell on the Australia store. It's annoying that it shows up in our featured area on the main steam store page.
The good news is, you can get them from Amazon at the same price - and they will ship them here. I got one, and a controller delivered in December.
Edit: worth adding it comes with universal power adapters, and not one that takes up crazy amounts of space. It is actually a really neat adapter/plug.
Absolutely, and you can even get it for $20 today in the US from Amazon
The Amazon sale is still live actually the Link is just out of stock atm
Same price on Amazon if you want to avoid Steam's outrageous shipping.
Steam Link https://www.amazon.com/dp/B016XBGWAQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_HOdoybG62B23J
Its also $19.99 on Amazon.
They're on sale right now.. $19.99 and $34.99. Free shipping on amazon. No one is going to under cut that here.
$14.99 on Amazon right now.
Steam Link https://www.amazon.com/dp/B016XBGWAQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_jNX-zbJWASTTA
Steam Link is also $19.99.
EDIT: For Amazon Prime users only. Whelp - time for that free trial.
Amazon does not appear to have any Steam Links of their own in stock, at least on the US Amazon site. All Steam Links for sale are sold by third parties.
also on amazon for lazy fucks like me
$60 canadian on amazon
$20 on Amazon right now
Both the Steam Link ($19.99) and the Steam Controller ($34.99) are the same price on Amazon now which might be a better deal when factoring in shipping costs.
It's also still available at Amazon.
It's sold out but you can still buy it for $15 you just have to select Amazon.com from the seller list here https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B016XBGWAQ/
It won't ship until they have it in stock (says 2 to 4 weeks) but you will only be charged $15.
Edit: This link chooses Amazon.com as the preferred seller allows you to buy it from Amazon for $15 and it will ship when they are in stock
If you can wait until they have stock (Amazon says 2-4 weeks) you can choose Amazon.com (currently the 3rd listing, the one with Prime) here, https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B016XBGWAQ/, and it will ship for $15 when they have stock
Or here forces the page to use Amazon.com even though they are sold out.
Cause Amazon automatically changes the seller if the item is out of stock. Yet the deal is still live with 2-3 weeks shipping
A Steam Link will run you $30 on Amazon.
I mean, I got my Steam Link from Valve for $2.50 on sale. But...you can buy one on Amazon for $80 if you want! https://smile.amazon.com/Steam-Link-pc/dp/B016XBGWAQ xD
You're not going to the response time via AirPlay. You might want to consider getting a Steam Link if you want to stream Steam games from your PC/Mac to your TV.
GameStop (sale - $19.99)
Amazon (sale - $19.99)
Steam Link is on sale for $15 on Amazon currently https://www.amazon.com/Steam-Link-pc/dp/B016XBGWAQ/ref=sr_1_1?s=audio-video-accessories&ie=UTF8&qid=1509417365&sr=1-1&keywords=steam+link
The buy button is gone because they are out of stock.
You can still buy it on Amazon. Amazon claims it will be back in stock September 3, 2018.
Amazon. It was $140
No controller, but the switch controller works (as well as this cheaper aftermarkert one)
The Steam Link is discontinued, and the remaining stock is very expensive now. Your options are to use the Steam Link app on a variety of smart TVs or Raspberry Pi. Raspberry Pi is cheap and can be used for other things too, like media streaming or emulators.
>Well cool! I guess I'll just get the TV and controllers and go from there, then just address issues/lack of options if they pop up.
A quick search show that the TV have support for Google TV Apps that can be downloaded from the playstore. So there really shouldn't be any issue.
Setup is rather easy. If you are stuck a quick google or youtube search will probably get you up and running.
There used to be dedicated hardware for steam link.
I think it became obsolete since smart tv are more common now and you can download the steam link app for free and they have the same functionality.
Cheers! Enjoy gaming on the big screen!
Steam Link + Steam Controller is a decent approach for many games, if you can still find the former (I think it's discontinued). There is noticeable latency, though, so if you're playing something like twitchy FPS or Rocket League or something, it'll be a problem. https://www.amazon.com/Steam-Link-pc/dp/B016XBGWAQ . Assuming you want to be able to do this at a distance.
Otherwise, just putting your PC next to your TV and using a wireless controller (or wireless keyboard + mouse) is much simpler and you won't have the latency problems.
Or just buy a Steam link
if enough of us post this link under the "tell us about a lower price" option on amazon. amazon will have to lower the price as well
Bonne question, recherche rapide sur Amazon il est 65 https://www.amazon.ca/Valve-Steam-Link-Windows-Linux/dp/B016XBGWAQ/
They are brand new on Amazon for $10 less.
No. MechJeb is a mod and neither console version supports mods.
You could get a Steam Link to play on the couch. It streams the game from your PC.
I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/GameDeals) if you have any questions or concerns.
$20 in Canada with free shipping
You could use Moonlight if you want to stream to an android box that does a lot more than a Steam Link.
no need to move the pc.
new link for $15; https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016XBGWAQ/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1
sold and shipped by amazon
I stand corrected on the $25 price tag - I just saw a deal for the Steam Link for $15 on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016XBGWAQ/
The deal is still live with 2-3 weeks shipping
Actually the deal is still live but with a long shipping time
Or get it from Gamestop
Do you know if there is a difference between your link and this link when the seller is Amazon and the condition is stated as "New"?
Edit: Just checked and it turns out both links are exactly the same. So it doesn't matter which link you click to buy it from. They are both sold by Amazon, Prime eligible shipping, and will be in new condition.
Hey guys, a couple of quick questions about some really basic networking:
There's a sale on Steam Links on amazon right now that I want to jump on. I'm aware that it works best hard-wired to your router, which my PC is also hardwired to. So, if I'm not mistaken, I need a network switch so that I can wire up my TV and my Steam Link both. Is this model what I need? I don't see the input port.
This is my current modem/router, which I rent from my ISP. It hits the speed tests in full (I only get 100mb/s internet here), so I haven't really thought about replacing it. Should I though, if I'm wanting to do the Steam Link thing with low latency, or is that not going to be as big of a factor?
Also, if someone could very simply ELI5 network switches for me, that would be awesome. From what I understand, they can't all run at full speed at the same time, right? Not that that's an issue for me, I'll only be using one device at a time. I'm just curious.
you can even stream it to your PC and play in the living room on a controller with a steam link. If you grab one on sale they are around $25-30.
This already exists for $20 in the Steam Link, and you can use whatever controllers/peripherals you want instead of PS approved ones.
But the entire thread is about using a steamlink to play games on all the TVs in your house. https://www.amazon.com/Steam-Link/dp/B016XBGWAQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1493140410&sr=8-1&keywords=steam+link
But I found a way
You can achieve this through Steam Link.
Not sure if SteamLink supports multiple controllers, I don't have one. But it's on sale at amazon if you're in the US. https://www.amazon.com/Steam-Link/dp/B016XBGWAQ/ref=pd_sim_63_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=REZ7825P0009RJAXG709
I also got confirmation that the only two items I wanted were both disqualified for eligibility, which is bullshit. The promotional terms state video games are ineligible, but it's actually ANY ITEM LISTED IN A VIDEO GAME CATEGORY.
Initial Question: Inquiring about the 'BIGTHANKS' promotional code item eligibility.
>03:13 PM PST Pratik(Amazon): Hello, my name is Pratik. I'm here to help you today. Thank you for being a Prime member. NIce to meet you!
>03:13 PM PST Me: Hello
>03:14 PM PST Me: I noticed that today, there is a promotional code BIGTHANKS that should remove $8.62 from a $50+ order, however it does not seem to work on the items I am attempting to buy?
>03:14 PM PST Pratik: For the promotions all the items should be sold by Amazon. Here are the terms and conditions of the promotion :
>03:14 PM PST Me: Both of these items are sold by Amazon.com LLC
>03:15 PM PST Pratik: May I know if they are video games?
>03:15 PM PST Me: They are not video games - one is a controller and the other a Steam Link
>03:16 PM PST Me: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016XBGWAQ/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER
>03:16 PM PST Pratik: Thank you for the link. I am sorry to say that Offer does not apply to digital content, video games, or Amazon Gift Cards.
>Please read our terms and conditions and you will be able to see it.
>03:16 PM PST Me: But these items do not qualify under those categories
>03:17 PM PST Pratik: The steam link comes underthe digital content. Please read the terms and conditions :
>03:18 PM PST Me: I have read the terms and conditions, however the steam link is NOT a digital item and neither of these two physical items are VIDEO GAMES. As such, why are they not eligible for the promo code to be applied?
>03:20 PM PST Pratik: Please check the items one more time. The items comes under the video games category.
>03:21 PM PST Me: They may be in the video game category, however they are not themselves video games. The terms and conditions specifically says "video games" no?
>03:21 PM PST Pratik: Please try to understand that if the items comes under the Video games category then the promotion will not be applied.
I'm not sure, but why not use a steam link?
You can often have your cake and eat it too in the PC world.
Get the PC
Get a steamlink so you can also play on your TV
Get a clip in Bluetooth game controller, and install Moonlight on your phone or tablet to play your games handheld over wifi.
Just to add it's also on sale on Amazon Canada
$32. $77 for both controller and link.
Steam Link: https://www.amazon.com/Steam-Link/dp/B016XBGWAQ/.
Steam Controller: https://www.amazon.com/Steam-Controller/dp/B01MQ5NK5Y/
Awesome find. I used this and applied it towards the Steam Link sale that was posted earlier.
It is on sale at Amazon.ca now for $26. A little more expansive but still good deal and you don't have to go to a store.
Or this sir!
I would assume until cyber monday--if you buy it from amazon, you can always return it.
> Also, link broadcasts anything on the screen, so it works flawlessly with non-steam games.
Yes, all sorts of controllers. On sale for $19.99 right now: https://www.amazon.com/Steam-Link/dp/B016XBGWAQ/
Buy it from Amazon.com.
For me (Greece) it's $34.99 plus $28.49 for Shipping & Import fees vs Steam's price of 54.99€ plus 24.00€ for S&H, about 22.00€ cheaper.
Same price on Amazon guys
You might as well hit Amazon or Gamestop as they have it in stock both fro $34.99
No doubt about that, but the Steam Link would be an option to play your steam games on your TV
Steam Link https://www.amazon.com/dp/B016XBGWAQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awd_eBQMwb5HWEWE5
Here ya go!
Link (pun intended) for the lazy
