A little late to this thread but I have the SteelSeries Arctis 1 wireless. I love it! It works well with my switch and PS4.

I want to get my brother this wireless headset for Christmas but I'm not sure whether to buy it now or hope for deals for black Friday/cyber Monday. I'm a little concerned that it might not go on sale and that it could even go up in price.

What do you guys recommend?

The range is good, they’re built well, and the sound is amazing

They should since they pretty much all use the same standard. Though not all adapters support using the microphone on the headset itself. Doing that also makes the audio quality drop a lot, so I personally wouldn’t recommend it

However I know that the Genki Bluetooth adapter and Skull & Co Audio Stick both support using the microphone on the headset

If you want to use a Mic then you’re much better off finding a USB wireless headset (they use their own USB dongle instead of Bluetooth). These also usually have significantly less latency than Bluetooth

I have the Steelseries Arctis 1 Wireless and I like it a lot. It’s $100. You wouldn’t have to buy a Bluetooth adapter a least, but it’s still a bit expensive

If you want to shop around for USB headsets then just make sure you get confirmation that the headset works on the Switch before buying
