Personally eyeing these for my next upgrade https://www.amazon.com/SteelSeries-Lossless-Wireless-Headset-Headphone/dp/B07FZVXS8H
I currently have the Logitech g533 headset. Had it since 2017 and no issues, battery life and audio is great, the headset just sometimes start to feel a bit heavy.
I have a SteelSeries Arctis 7, I have no complaints with it. It's currently $120.10 on Amazon.
Not the OP, but I just bought the same headphones.
It's not bluetooth, but it comes with an adapter (2.4G connection). If you look at the last picture on the Amazon page (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FZVXS8H/), you can see the adapter on the back of the box. You plug that into the USB on the dock, then connect the included 3.5mm cable to the Switch headphone jack and the line in on the back of the adapter. That'll get you wireless while docked.
I haven't done this yet, but the adapter also has a line out. You can hook up some speakers to this line out. If the headphones are turned on, then there is no sound from the speakers. Turn off the headphones and the speakers come on. That's very convenient if you play your switch docked a lot. I hope it works like they say.
After forgetting that I was wearing my headset and walking away from my desk, only to have it forcefully ripped off my head for the umpteenth time, I made an impulse buy earlier this week and ordered this bad boy off the zon.
I'm too cheap to pay for prime, so I was totally ok with the estimated free shipping date of 20 Oct 2020. Imagine my surprise just now when I got the "your package has been delivered" notification!
Only $25 bucks more on amazon.
Edit: $25 more than the arctis 1 wireless. About $30 more than the hyperX.
I use the basic Arctis 7 model, no extra letters. There might be better models out there, but I personally prefer the look of the basic 7.
I have been using this steelseries headset without issue for about 2 years now. But recently I am having trouble with the wireless dongle.
The headset seems to be disconnecting randomly, and also slowing down any video content on my PC. When I change ports with the USB, it seems to work fine for a bit, but then it starts happening again. Does this mean the wireless receiver needs to be replaced? Is it something to do with my PC or drivers (all updated)?
Arctis 7 wireless my friend has an Arctis 1 wireless and it's pretty good for $90. The Arctis 7 might be even better.
I personally went with a takstar pro 82 and I have absolutely no regrets. I'm a big fan of wireless, but I'd still take the 82 over a wireless anything, that thing feels like wearing a cloud on your head. I wear it for upwards of 6 hours with next to no discomfort.
Just got my Arctis 7s, which is currently selling for $110 on Amazon. They are comfy as hell and sound quite good. Might be worth a look for anyone who is interested in the pro but isn't willing to fork out nearly $300 for one.
That’s tough. It would be easier to decide if I had one in front of me, ugh. I’ll have to think about it. Or maybe order the 7x and hope it gets here before my return date 🤣
edit: this is all i found on amazon, do you know if its the same? https://www.amazon.com/SteelSeries-Lossless-Wireless-Headset-Headphone/dp/B07FZVXS8H/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=steelseries+arctis+7x&qid=1602102893&sr=8-3
Arctis 7 is $125 on Amazon and you can also price match if you want to pick it up at a nearby store. Although it’s probably not your best choice if you want a good sounding mic. I would go for the logictech g pro x, especially since you’re on pc and you can adjust the mic eq.
High jacking this comment to assert the Steel Series Artics 7 is a solid wireless choice. I bought both of mine used off amazon. #savetheplanet #reducereuserecycle
I have Amazon Prime so I didn't even consider shipping, but like I said, buy what you can afford. I mentioned them because JayzTwoCents has never recommended a wireless headset before. The SteelSeries Arctis 7 is popular with nearly every site and magazine that reviews headsets and is $150: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FZVXS8H/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_eKGfFbMQGGPM2
Personally, I use a pair Phillips Fidelio X2 /28 Ohm headphones with a ModMic 5 connected to a Astro Wireless MixAmp 5.8. That set of hardware cost me $500+ with taxes, $100 for the MixAmp, $300 for the headphones, $70 for the ModMic, but was spread out over 10 years.
I have the console edition for my Xbox, I got it on sale for like 35-40 dollars or something a little ago, and for my PC I have the Arctis 7 wireless and love them, but I’m biased because I love how these feel on the head compared to other headsets

I have a Arctis 7 that I use to get Switch and PC in the same headset. My monitor has a audio jack out so I plug it in to the USB wireless transmitter. It pumps audio from both sources. This is the one I use:
i'm also considering buying the cloud flight, do you know if its any better than the Arctis* 7? i see its on sale for 99$ on amazon
If you can stretch it a little bit further, the Steelseries arctis 7 is loved by many gamers that prefer wireless.
Because everyone's head shape is different, it's quite difficult to recommend one that wont cause pain issues for you, unless you are interested in trying the earbuds suggestion (which I use to solve all my pain issues).
If you have a tech store like Best Buy, Target, Walmart, or perhaps your local shop, why not take a trip to visit to see if you can try the models they have on display? You might be able to find something that you're happy with.
If the above is not viable for you, the next thing you can try is to measure the circumference of your head with a tailor's ruler (if you don't have one, use a thread, or scarf, then measure with a yard stick / ruler). You can then use this measurement information to ask on places like Amazon to see if others can help you figure it out.
However, one headset I can pass on for recs is the Steelseries Arctis 7 from a handful of my friends. I haven't tried it myself, so I can't really give you an opinion, but based on this detailed review by The Technie, it seems like a great universal headset to use across all platforms.

My recommendation for a wireless gaming headset is to get one that isn't dependent on the software to get what you want out of it. And also, to avoid Logitech's gaming hardware.

SteelSeries Arctis 7 or Sennheiser PC37X
The Arctis is wireless but the Sennheiser has better quality sound.
Side notes:
SteelSeries has confirmed that the Arctis 7 will work with the PS5.
If you wear glasses, seriously consider the Sennheiser. It's the only brand I've found that isn't uncomfortable during long play sessions while wearing glasses.

Huh. Turns out that is on Amazon. But it says it is by steel series can you make sure this is the right one?

It would break your budget ($125 on Amazon and $120 on the SteelSeries site after applying their 20% off code), but I highly recommend the SteelSeries Arctis 7. The mic is really good and the ski goggle suspension band reduces a lot of pressure on your head so they are super comfy to wear even over long sessions. It has 7.1 virtual surround sound so you can hear what direction stuff is coming from, and the bass has a lot of oomph.
i dont have experience with them, but i hear a majority of people like them. check the feedback on amazon. 4/5 on amazon https://www.amazon.com/SteelSeries-Lossless-Wireless-Headset-Headphone/dp/B07FZVXS8H
Bought these for my son and he absolutely loves them.

If anyone is wondering, this is the 2019 Edition. It goes for $150 on Amazon.

I've had these for about a year, and they have been excellent for the price. The battery lasts about 6 hours. They've only died about 2 times from some long sessions. The range is pretty great. I'm always walking to the kitchen, and everyone asks me what that noise is, because I don't have to "be right back". The quality isn't perfect, but I don't expect perfection for the price. I can hear everything clearly, and they have helped me is several tight situations (especially in PUBG)
EDIT: I forgot to mention that it has two channels. One for game, and one for chat (discord, ect). If your friends are being too loud, and you need to hear footsteps, you can just tune them out instead of yelling at them.
