I have a mic built in the headset and always got compliments on the sound quality. They're also very convenient (you can move around the room without losing any quality. There's also less echo etc.
I have one similar to this, although there must be cheaper options.

You're going to want a headset in that environment, I'd go with something that has good reviews for the microphone.
You should definitely look for a headset with closed back ear cups as well. It will help block out outside noise and also reduce how much noise is leaking out of your headset and into the environment. Also over ear comfort, some cups are really shallow and the ear fatigue is awful when you're in that situation. On that note you'd also want to check how people with glasses do with them for long sessions if that's applicable.
Then you just need to decide if you want something wireless or wired.
I use a pair of Arctis 7s I got on deep discount
I love the wireless freedom and the distance I can go before losing connection is great.
earcups are closed back and deep enough for my ear size (small)
I hate how I can sometimes turn down/up the volume on them by about bc they have a volume adjust on the back off the left earcup.
mic has been very clear for therapy
the software that comes with it allows me to put on a mic monitor so I can hear myself as I talk, like old telephones. It's essentially like an echo for any individuals out there that may not know.
it's got great battery life, also comes with cords to plug into a 3.5mm jack if needed.

Thank you, the desk was custom made by a good friend of mine! The headset is a SteelSeries Arctis 7. HIGHLY recommend them, very affordable but still really good audio quality. Barely use my speakers since I got them honestly.
