Just get one of these for $45.
It supports most ios games and all emulators i've tried so far: GBA4IOS, PPSSPP, NDS4IOS, Happy chick.
Got mine for $30 on prime day. Its real easy to use with no hassles. Just turn it on and play after connecting to blue tooth. No jailbreak needed
There is good news. Sky supports all types of joystick devices that are MFI or Bluetooth. So I have cheap Lightning-to-HDMI adapter and can stream full phone screen on TV with sound. Also have Steelseries Nimbus gamepad to not look at the screen. This setup can allow anyone see the gameplay. Also PS4 and Xbox controlers can be used with Apple to play Sky so you can find one easy.
This is the one I have. I like it a little too much haha. It's a bit pricey but it's a solid build and feels like an xbox controller. It definitely makes minecraft way more fun and easy to control on the ipad. I wish there were more games to use it with but then I would get nothing done

First of all, this is the third mfi controller I have owned (madCatz mctrl & pxn speedy were the others) and this controller is so much better than the other two, very responsive (I believe it is the only Bluetooth 4.0 mfi controller vs Bluetooth 2.1 on the others.)
It’s a solid controller, and the build quality reminds me of a first party controller, vs the typical 3rd party junk. Charges via lightning cable, which is much more convenient for my setup.
I bought one because it is the only mfi controller that works with Shadowgun Legends (destiny clone).
I prefer the Xbox stick staggered layout to the PlayStation style, but it’s my only gripe about the controller.
I purchased a used controller from amazon warehouse (for when I travel) and decided to get another one for my home use with an Apple TV with the current sale.
Of course more mfi controller games would be nice, but that is another discussion. If you have already decided to get an mfi controller, this is the one to purchase.
Finallly, it’s only on prime day for anothr two hours, $30 vs normal amazon price of $47.

It says supports fortnite mobile, but it also supports mcpe. With iOS 13, I think you can connect Bluetooth xbox or ps controllers to the phone, so I suggest trying that first. Also there is a refurbished one for cheaper on amazon as well.
I got sick of using the touch screen on my iPad and bought a Bluetooth controller. The SteelSeries Nimbus is AWESOME! The only complaint I have about it is that the thumbsticks don't press down / act as another button.

The only things I have done is resizing the buttons. No jump/sneak switch, lefty, or split controls.

Just for clarification, I bought this one from Amazon about 6 months ago. Not sure if the model has changed at all, but as I said, it was simple plug and play (connect via bluetooth) for me.

Came yesterday. I bought a used one for 30 bucks. Worth it for sure..it looks and feels like an Xbox controller..and there are no R3 and L3 but if you double click on the analog on the screen on your phone it works. I'd recommend buying it..felt really good and is worth the price imo.

This being played via the new PS4 Remote Play App on iOS. I also use the SteelSeries Nimbus with a controller clip. All this combined is very useful for when the TV is being used but you still wanna play some Skyrim!

Why not get a MFi controller like the Nimbus Steel Series?
No need for a jailbreak and it works with nearly every game without any tweaks.

I haven't used it enough to justify the cost personally but it works pretty well.
That's flat out false. This controller made by SteelSeries charges via a female lightning port using standard lighting to USB cables.
I suggest the steelseries nimbus controller. My boyfriend got it for me about 6 months ago and I absolutely love it. It’s also sold at Apple stores and charges with a lightning cable so you don’t have to carry around an extra wire.
