Ditto on the stitched edge. Most mousepads list it as a benefit but I could not stand it - irritated my wrist all the time. For anyone whose wrist brushes the edge of their mousepad, the SteelSeries QcK XXL is a good alternative for an extended mat with no stitched edge. ($23 though)

I use the SteelSeries QcK XXL, but I also have a 688 eDPI in CS:GO, and I use the same sens in every other game as well, so a smaller mouse pad might be sufficient if you play at a higher sens. Pretty much any mousepad will do, and the size is up to whatever you play at.

The other option is that you could DIY the purple border with an LED strip or something with purple fabric (probably need some sewing or w/e the proper term is for the later).

This should be plenty for what you are doing. Monitors have no audio and you play games so I included a keyboard, headset, monitor, and speaker. You can't add mousepads to pcpartpicker but i recommend this one. Be warned I am having trouble finding monitors on amazon at all, I think they are in high demand rn as many are sold out.

The only real difference is build quality between similar pads that are the same type of surface.
I like the steelseries qck xxl mat. $30 now but it was on sale for $18 about a week ago.
