I tried it and just couldn't like it. It felt way too narrow, like I was trying to cup it with my palm instead of my fingers. I ended up getting the Steel Series rival 500 and it's the most incredible mouse I've ever owned. Unfortunately they discontinued it, so hopefully mine never breaks.

Lots of good discussion about MMO mice. I recently bought the SteelSeries Rival 500 MMO mouse, and am loving it. I made this comment on a previous thread, but I'll just paste it here as well:
I second the MMO mouse suggestion, but instead of a mouse with 12 buttons on the side, I highly recommend the SteelSeries Rival 500: https://www.amazon.com/SteelSeries-Rival-15-Button-Programmable-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B01K3DM0WY
It's a different spin on MMO mice, with only 6 buttons for your thumb, but they are laid out rotationally around your thumb, making all their positions distinct and clear. My issue with 12 button numpad mice was I would lose which number I was on and hit the wrong number. With the Rival 500, there's no issue. And you can combine with shift, alt, and ctrl, as well, giving you 6 x 4 = 24 keybinds. I use the raw numbers for 6 offensive spells, shift for 6 defensive spells, and then alt and ctrl as needed and for extra utility. It works great.

My recommendation would be the SteelSeries Rival 500.
Slightly oversized, with an ergonomic shape and 15 programmable buttons.
Supports text and keypress macros, as well as multiple profiles.
RGB too, if you're into that. RGB can be disabled if not.
I use it for Inventor, Plant3D, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
I mean rival 500 :) https://www.amazon.com/SteelSeries-Rival-15-Button-Programmable-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B01K3DM0WY
But judging for how little supply there is I guess it's an old model or something. I noticed it 2 days ago at local shop but only the display model and no possibility to buy it. I liked how it fits my hand tho but due to me looking for it for 2 days without luck I started thinking about g502
Steelseries rival 500. Similar layout with that open center and can lock the button keys if you don't need them.
Check out the SteelSeries Rival 500 , it doesn't have as many side Buttons but they are said to be really convenient to use und much easier to click thatn those number grids.
It's still available for purchase on their website for me. My only suggestion would be try buying it off amazon they sell their stuff there as well. https://www.amazon.com/SteelSeries-Rival-15-Button-Programmable-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B01K3DM0WY
There's the Steelseries Rival 500 and Corsair Scimitar (I think the Elite is the newest version?). I think there's also some random Chinese mouse you can find on Amazon that is dirt-cheap and has a 3360 sensor.
IMO tho, the Trinity is your best bet for an MMO mouse w/ good sensor. I've tried the Scimitar and it's OK but I personally found the thumb grid too big (much taller buttons than the Naga) to comfortably traverse, plus there was less distinction between the thumb buttons making it harder for me to tell what I was pressing.
Haven't tried the Steelseries but it's a pretty outdated design IMO. Some people I know have vouched for its ergonomics but I don't personally have any experience with this mouse so I'll leave it at that.
Still desperately wishing for a manufacturer to make a 12-thumb-button mouse that is <100g... T_T
Hi! I personally would advise to (not) go with the Logitech G600 because it is in fact a Laser Sensor, not optical as you are wanting! The G502 is good for only a select few. For MOBA/MMO gaming (which I assume is what you will be doing the most), I could recommend a few mice.

Both are very viable options for your type of gaming! The Rival 500 has all your sidebuttons within reach with your thumb and also provides more programmable side buttons than the G502. Although, the G502 has a toggle-able (is that even a word?) scroll wheel. You can either set it to infini-scroll or stepped-scroll. The Rival 500 just has one option which is obviously stepped.
