I found the Bootcamp for the MBE series to be very helpful because it teaches not only the black letter law, but offers actual strategy tips in how to find the right answer. I think most, if not all of the series, is available by the separate books on Kindle. Here is the contracts one: Bootcamp for the MBE: Contracts
I would also recommend something like BarMax's question bank or Adaptibar. Practicing actual NCBE questions is key.
I've said it in other threads, but if you want to raise your MBE score, look into the MBE Bootcamp series. Each book takes probably half a day to full day to read, but it super helped me. I was scoring consistently between 70 and 80%.
Try this book: Bootcamp for the MBE - Contracts
It has an outline to teach the black letter law and tips on how to answer the questions on the MBE
Buy this book stat! Bootcamp for the MBE: Contracts
It is $20 on the Kindle and helped me with MBEs more than any other study source. The outline takes one to two days to read.

While you aren't working on contract MBE questions yet, Emanuel's boot camp series explains the first year topics in an easy to understand way. Amazon link below.
I highly recommend Emanuel's Bootcamp for the MBE. There are 7 books all together: Torts, Criminal, Real Property, Evidence, Constitutional Law, Contracts, an overview book of the six topics. They were published before Civil Procedure was added to the MBE.
The books include an overview of the black letter law, but even more than that, they teach you tricks on how to better your MBE score. With the MBE, it's not just knowing the law, it's knowing how they test it.

You can also practice free NCBE questions (without explanations and not updated) from this website:
I found the Bootcamp for the MBE books to be very helpful. There is a book for each subject except for civil procedure. Here is a link to the contracts book: Bootcamp to the MBE
What is great about that series is that it teaches you to the test. Also, practicing with the BarMax question bank was super helpful. It's the same price as Adaptibar, but you have access to the database until you pass the bar. You only pay once, unlike Adaptibar, where you have to pay again if you fail or want to take the July exam. Here is the link to barmax question bank for $400: https://testmaxprep.com/bar-exam/mbe-question-bank
You can for sure improve the MBE score and pass next time! Good luck!
I agree with the others to take some days to grieve. You tried, you made it this far, and that is something to take pride in. Often it is not our accomplishments, but our attempts that make us stronger.
When you are ready to study again, the absolute best study guide I found for the MBE were the Emanuel Bootcamp for the MBE series. There is a book for all the MBE topics except for civil procedure, as well as a condensed book of the six topics. These books refresh the black letter law teach to the test.
Check out Emanuel's Bootcamp for the MBE series. There is a book for each topic. It teaches the black letter law as it applies to the MBE and tricks to go along with it.
I was literally about to recommend the same! The MBE Bootcamp Series is THE BEST for teaching how to take the MBE. I just checked Amazon and there are no affordable paper copies there right now, but the kindle copy is less than $20.
Take a day to read this book, practice the questions, and I would bet that the score goes up.
Even though you're not at the MBE stage yet, I would still recommend Steve Emanuel's Bootcamp for the MBE: Contracts. The book teaches the black letter law of contracts in an easy to understand way.
