What I find helpful in improving speaking is:

2. Actual speaking with someone.

Of course, the execution can be difficult and there's a problem with getting feedback. How to overcome some of the issues:

1. When reading aloud you can use texts with recordings (like for example NHK easy news). Record yourself and then compare if you're making any obvious mistakes. But if your pronunciation is generally okay then I'd focus on just getting used to producing sounds in Japanese.
2. For getting used to casual, not in-depth writing you can use airfriend chatbot. It's really okayish for that.
3. For longer forms you can:
   1. use google docs - it will check obvious grammar mistakes, wrong kanji, etc.
   2. try WriteStreakJP subreddit
   3. try journaly.com
4. Speaking with someone is probably the most involving, you must hire a tutor or if you're advanced enough you'll naturally find ways to connect with Japanese people for other reasons than just practicing the language. And finally, what to write/speak about?

3. Summarize chapters in a book/ a whole book.
4. Defend your position on some controversial topic.

Two things:

1. People are more likely to pay attention to your podcast if you have good audio. You're going to record anyway, so it's just as easy to use good mics and be in a quiet place.
