I was looking at Strongway Benchtop 10-Ton Hydraulic Shop Press with Gauge or Black Bull 6 Ton A-Frame Shop Press - pay attention to shipping because that can be killer. I also didn't want to huge press so these are smaller frames. I like the pressure gauge. I also think the a frame can upgraded with a stronger bottle jack but im not sure how strong the frame really is for such a low cost so im not sure how intense I would go.

for plates at first I was looking at dab press but the are out of so much - Caged plates would be very nice. make sure to pay attention to wattage and make sure you are prepared for that load.

what I ended up deciding to get is just slightly over $500. once I put in the order I can update you - just want to make sure it is available when I go to order.
