THIS might be a good light.

I'm not up on the newest versions of the Gopros, but I think that despite being labelled water-proof, this mission would be best suited by protecting the camera with these fairly cheap but toughUW housings.

I think I got one of these. The wide-angle is incredible, as it is additive to the light on the wheel itself, which is narrow. I don't see the lumens rated but at high power it is really really annoying to anyone else and really great to the rider. They will see you and you will see every bump. The gopro mount means if you can find a way to mount a gopro, you're good. The only problem is the gopro mounts break with that much weight, but they're cheap.

Lights are really easy to add. I put on one like this, which I believe is above "best in class". Has a gopro mount so I just stuck it on.

I prefer the light over using a filter. I have the backscatter red filter, but I don't like how it doesn't stay open when not in use. Keeps flapping into view during recordings. The new GoPros are supposed to have better color balance.
