You should read the book Surfing for God by Michael Cusick (here) it talks about pornography and sexual addiction in a way that I’d never considered before. It really got down to the root of the issue and helped me a lot. I wish I’d read it years ago.

Yes it is from a Christian standpoint, but to be honest it doesn’t get in the way. Come at it as if “God” is simply the higher order of things. Innate traits from years of evolution, a higher self you’re trying to connect to, whatever you want to say. It’s a really good book and it would help you a lot.

Great analogy. I highly recommend Surfing for God, which has helped me realize that the cage is a lie, a twisted version of the security that is only truly found in God's hands.
