Oh so you're trying to focus on terrestrial objects? That is likely the issue. The closer an object is to the telescope, the farther back the focus has to be. Telescopes are designed for astronomical distances, which are more or less at infinity as far as focus goes.
If you want to focus on terrestrial objects, you can get T2 extension tubes to move the camera farther back:

But you won't need that for astronomical imaging, if that's your plan.
