I personally give my older cat https://www.amazon.com/SynergyLabs-Richards-Organics-Flavored-Hairball/dp/B0080FDKTA because she is a kidney-cat and has severe constipation, and the lubricating formula helps her there. But if your cat has chronic hairballs despite brushing, a few a WEEK, something is wrong.

Horking up hairballs is not the normal state of things for a cat. Switch your cat to a grain-free canned food; it will help his health immensely. Kibble is terrible for cats in general.
