These are similar to what I bought last year. I have them on a timer for 16hrs. I only keep 6 pots under them. I have most of my succulents outside. However having grow lights has ensured some steady growth. Definitely worth investing in if you live in a cold climate! Some succulents might fare well for a month or two in a window but over time if not given adequate light they will be unhappy. Remember—most are from dry, arid, HOT climates!
These are the ones I use LED Shop Light 2ft, CNSUNWAY LIGHTING T8 LED Light Fixture, 14W 1680LM High Bright, 6500K, Ceiling and Utility Shop Light, Linkable Lights for Room, Garage, Workbench, Under Counter Lighting (2 Pack) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074R7S5FC/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_APC2PRD6CHNCMC3H65S8?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I mainly have my hoyas and snake plants under it
Thank you! I ordered the pot on etsy (Think it's technically a pencil cup) and the grow lights I got on Amazon ( https://www.amazon.com/CNSUNWAY-V-Shape-Integrated-Fixture-Electric/dp/B074R7S5FC?ref_=ast_sto_dp&th=1&psc=1 ). I also have all of my light plugged into a wifi plug so they're run on a timer or I can use my phone.
It's really not that confusing. Just stay away from the cheap red/blue "blurple" lights and you should be fine. I've been using something similar to these and have had great success. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074R7S5FC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabt1_a0RTFbEK452WW
I have a crappy purple grow light from amazon, but I just bought this new one that is supposed to be much better! I haven’t tested it yet because it’s still in the mail but it should arrive today. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074R7S5FC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_D8UOFbB7WBY69

Theyre under 2 t8 14w 6500k shop lights from amazon. I saw them being used for a humidity dome on some guys youtube channel and I thought this could be a good option for my seedlings. I have some outside but my apartment only gets like 4 hours of sun in the mornings and it's mostly shaded.

I'm using these as supplemental lights for seedlings in my window. They're not marketed for plants but they're working well for my purposes. What I've heard may be more effective are t5 florescent light tubes but I have no experience with these.

I use these mounted on a small shelf so that they’re ~4-5 inches away from the plants :)
I don't use specialty lights, and I grow most all my plants under LED light. Any light in the 5000k-6500k (daylight) range should work fine, as long as it has enough lumens.

I use Walmart brand shop lights, and cabinet lights from amazon. The Hyper Tough 5000lm shop light I use for my hoyas. It is a very bright light! I wouldn't put anything low light under it. The 3200lm Hyper Tough shop light I use for my phalaenopsis, philodendron, pothos, lipstick plant, prayer plants, calatheas, scindapsus...I also really like these cabinet lights from amazon, you can connect them and they are very bright...I grow most my phalaenopsis orchids under these as well as my jewel orchids, paphiopedilum, oncidium and Cochleanthes orchid.
I’m using these grow lights ! But they are very very bright! I will say they seem pretty good quality for the price

They kept my cactus and succulents alive all winter and I even have agleonema under them and they love it. Just ordered another set for my shelving unit. They are fairly inexpensive and they work well. Based on where you will have the light mounted I think these would be great supplemental lighting there. They are not dimmable, that's they only drawback. I just adjust my plants with stands or whatnot since I cannot dim the light.

I did a lot of reading about lights b/c I live just north of Chicago and our winters tend to be very dark and I already get relatively little direct light in my flat as it is. I have several of these lights on a timer and have been very happy with them. They are inexpensive, lightweight, bright and provide the right color of light (6500k). I’ve only had mine set up about a month and I’ve found that my plants have more color than they did even over the height of summer. I also have my shelf lined/backed/topped with a reflective Mylar sheet to both to increase the light level but also to shield the room from the light so that it’s not so eye-piercing. (You could probably use aluminum foil as an alternative, or a bit of mirror, both of which I was considering before I read about Mylar which is both very cheap and light and easy to deal with. I’ve got two good sized shelves with the back and sides fully wrapped plus a few pieces lining pans and I still have a good chunk of the first sheet and all the second sheet left. All I needed to position it was regular scotch tape and I’ve moved it several times with no tears.)
In terms of watering and dormancy... I’m relatively new to keeping succulents so I wouldn’t say I’m an overly qualified opinion. I’ve cut back my watering schedule as autumn has started and for the most part everything has been happy but I’ve had a few that looked sad. I’ve mostly been going by the feel of the leaves. If the leaves get thin, droopy, or soft I tend to find that’s a sign that they need more water and have found a few extra waters generally perks them right back up. In the winter I think most succulents are kind of set it and forget it but I will probably still give mine a thorough look through once or twice a week (after all, I do enjoy it, that’s why I keep them!) just to see that no one is wasting away in winter.
I bought these and they've worked really well so far! I put them on an outlet with a timer as well.
I love these:

I bought these: T8 LED Light Fixture -2FT 1680lm... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074R7S5FC?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
And LOVE THEM. The lumens and color temp are good for succs, and my little collection seems to be enjoying the extra love.
It’s in a south facing window and I added a pair of these.
