I have one of those oil filled radiator style heaters and it works great. It has three wattage selections, and seems to max out at about 1,100 watts so I'm still able to use the microwave. It also doesn't make any noise and is safer than those with exposed elements. Much better for nighttime use.
Mine is about 15 years old and I can't find one exactly like it on Amazon. It's similar to this 1500 watt model in that it has two switches that determine the wattage (low/med/high), but it doesn't have wheels.
