If price reduction is your aim, I’d probably downgrade the RAM to 16GB. Here’s the same bundle but with 16GB RAM instead. https://www.amazon.com/TEAMGROUP-T-Force-PC4-25600-TLZGD416G3200HC16CDC01-TM8FP7001T0C311/dp/B09NW23275/
If you want a cheap and quiet low-profile cooler (because this tiny case only fits low-profile fans) then probably the Scythe Shuriken 2 for $40, or you could pay more for Noctua ($50-55, the NH-L9a is available in both black and Noctua brown).
I would consider this RAM+SSD bundle, cheaper and you get a better SSD: https://www.amazon.com/TEAMGROUP-T-Force-PC4-25600-TLZGD416G3200HC16CDC01-TM8FP7001T0C311/dp/B09NW23275/ref=sr_1_4?crid=8LUTVDA72Q8G&keywords=teamgroup+ssd+ram&qid=1651073349&s=amazon-devices&sprefix=%2Camazon-devices%2C111&sr=1-4
Team has bundle on amazon that has some 3200 c16 with a phison e16 drive I think this is the best deal atm if you need the ram https://www.amazon.com/TEAMGROUP-T-Force-PC4-25600-TLZGD416G3200HC16CDC01-TM8FP7001T0C311/dp/B09NW23275/ref=sr\_1\_24?crid=27DOSM86L884O&keywords=Z440&qid=1651022079&s=electronics&sprefix=z440%2Celectronics%2C64&sr=1-24
I would swap RAM and SSD to this bundle (with 10% clip coupon): https://www.amazon.com/TEAMGROUP-T-Force-PC4-25600-TLZGD416G3200HC16CDC01-TM8FP7001T0C311/dp/B09NW23275/ref=sr_1_3?crid=3QN4DDV95FMU2&keywords=teamgroup+ram+%2B+ssd&qid=1648572931&sprefix=%2Caps%2C111&sr=8-3
You can change RAM+SSD for this bundle (with 10% clip coupon): https://www.amazon.com/TEAMGROUP-T-Force-PC4-25600-TLZGD416G3200HC16CDC01-TM8FP7001T0C311/dp/B09NW23275/ref=sr_1_3?crid=3QN4DDV95FMU2&keywords=teamgroup+ram+%2B+ssd&qid=1648572931&sprefix=%2Caps%2C111&sr=8-3
I’d swap the cooler to a ID Cooling SE 224 XT as it performs better and it’s cheaper. PCPartPicker will mark it as incompatible but you can ignore it as it is now bundled with the LGA1700 bracket.
Also you could swap RAM+SSD for this bundle (with 10% clip coupon): https://www.amazon.com/TEAMGROUP-T-Force-PC4-25600-TLZGD416G3200HC16CDC01-TM8FP7001T0C311/dp/B09NW23275/ref=sr_1_3?crid=3QN4DDV95FMU2&keywords=teamgroup+ram+%2B+ssd&qid=1648572931&sprefix=%2Caps%2C111&sr=8-3
I would probably get the 6600XT over the 3060, it’s cheaper and performs better in rasterisation
I’d swap the RAM and SSD to this bundle (with 10% clip coupon): https://www.amazon.com/TEAMGROUP-T-Force-PC4-25600-TLZGD416G3200HC16CDC01-TM8FP7001T0C311/dp/B09NW23275/ref=sr_1_3?crid=1129TYJIIPLQ3&keywords=Teamgroup+SSD+RAM&qid=1649713028&sprefix=teamgroup+ssd+ram%2Caps%2C328&sr=8-3
Yeah, and they generally don't expire very quick either.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09NW23275/ref=ox_sc_act_title_5?smid=AWD7GDDT7Q2ZT&psc=1
That's been in my cart for like a month now without going OOS or changing in price at all.
10400F is an old CPU, the 12100F is a better pick for gaming thanks to faster cores
Cooler is overpriced, there are better and cheaper coolers like the Vetroo V5
You have no SSD, I’d get one otherwise your PC will feel slow
Case has poor airflow
Expensive RAM, I would probably consider this bundle: https://www.amazon.com/TEAMGROUP-T-Force-PC4-25600-TLZGD416G3200HC16CDC01-TM8FP7001T0C311/dp/B09NW23275/ref=sr_1_3?crid=3M06KWN93QEC8&keywords=Teamgroup+RAM+SSD&qid=1648989183&sprefix=teamgroup+ram+ssd%2Caps%2C146&sr=8-3
PSU is overpriced, you can get a high quality Phanteks AMP power supply for $70
You don’t need to pay for a Windows key, you can download it directly from Microsoft for free without a key
The Intel 670p is superior and was on for $70 or even better, I’d get this RAM+SSD bundle (8% clip coupon): https://www.amazon.com/TEAMGROUP-T-Force-PC4-25600-TLZGD416G3200HC16CDC01-TM8FP7001T0C311/dp/B09NW23275/ref=sr_1_3?crid=3QN4DDV95FMU2&keywords=teamgroup+ram+%2B+ssd&qid=1648572931&sprefix=%2Caps%2C111&sr=8-3
If anybody is building a new PC, I’d honestly get this RAM+SSD bundle (with 8% clip coupon) over this. However if you’re just looking to add new storage, this is a good deal.
I would replace the RAM and SSD for this bundle (which is an absolute steal and has 8% clip coupon): https://www.amazon.com/TEAMGROUP-T-Force-PC4-25600-TLZGD416G3200HC16CDC01-TM8FP7001T0C311/dp/B09NW23275/ref=sr_1_3?crid=3NZLJK9CECMP6&keywords=Teamgroup+RAM%2BSSD&qid=1648763889&sprefix=teamgroup+ram%2Bssd%2Caps%2C278&sr=8-3
I don’t really recommend this SSD.
Amazon has this RAM+SSD bundle (with 8% coupon): https://www.amazon.com/TEAMGROUP-T-Force-PC4-25600-TLZGD416G3200HC16CDC01-TM8FP7001T0C311/dp/B09NW23275/ref=sr_1_3?crid=276UJ351ZSOTA&keywords=Team+RAM+%2B+SSD&qid=1648685687&sprefix=team+ram+%2B+ssd%2Caps%2C181&sr=8-3
Might have to swap out RAM but I recommend this: https://www.amazon.com/TEAMGROUP-T-Force-PC4-25600-TLZGD416G3200HC16CDC01-TM8FP7001T0C311/dp/B09NW23275/ref=sr_1_3?crid=1345JOOBBAW26&keywords=teamgroup+ram+%2B+ssd&qid=1648632598&sprefix=%2Caps%2C130&sr=8-3
There’s 8% clip coupon
Few thoughts:
Motherboard is decent but I don’t think OP needs all these features of this motherboard. I’d probably spend a bit less on it. Also if OP isn’t overclocking, you don’t really need a Z690 board to begin with. My go to recommendation is the MSI B660M A-Pro, it might be a budget motherboard but it has 2 M.2 SSD slots, 4 RAM slots, decent amount of USBs and it’s actually has decent VRMs according to testing by Hardware Unboxed.
I linked you a RAM + SSD bundle before. 3200MHz CL16 is similar to 3600MHz CL18. This has a Gen4 SSD compared to your Gen3. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09NW23275/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apan_glt_i_B3TKEM7RYKHPMWSHBAZF
About PSU, the Enermax Revolution DF is cheaper (if OP were going to use the $20 rebate and if not it’s still the same price as the MSI one) and is essentially is nearly identical or same as the MSI on you linked because they use the same platform by CWT.
Some issues:
Intel 12400F is better value
You can actually get a 6700XT $550 right now, check r/buildapcsales
Overkill cooler
Trashy DRAMless, QLC SSD, there’s better options for same price. I would recommend this RAM+SSD bundle: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09NW23275/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apan_glt_i_B3TKEM7RYKHPMWSHBAZF
You can get that combo for $135 after coupon in Amazon rn
Nice build but I would change the RAM and SSD to the bundle I mentioned to you before.
For the OP to see, this is the bundle I am talking about (tick checkbox for 10% discount): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09NW23275/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apan_glt_i_B3TKEM7RYKHPMWSHBAZF
Nice build but I would have gone with this SSD+RAM bundle.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09NW23275/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apan_glt_i_B3TKEM7RYKHPMWSHBAZF (With 10% clip coupon)
That’s a whole lot cheaper than your RAM and SSD combo whilst you get a faster Gen4 SSD.
I would advise against CoolerMaster Hyper 212 as it is currently overpriced
The SSD is also overpriced, there’s better ones for cheaper. If I were you I would get this RAM + SSD bundle with clip coupon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09NW23275/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apan_glt_i_B3TKEM7RYKHPMWSHBAZF
Urm, Gen4 SSDs doesn’t improve game loading times and I would recommend this SSD and RAM bundle (Yes SSD is Gen4 but the deal is so good that it’s cheaper than a Gen3 SSD and RAM combo): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09NW23275/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apan_glt_i_B3TKEM7RYKHPMWSHBAZF
Tick coupon box to get 10% off then price will be $134.99
Very good build but I would have gone with this RAM and SSD bundle, really cheap way to get a Gen4 SSD: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09NW23275/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apan_glt_i_B3TKEM7RYKHPMWSHBAZF
You might be thinking, it doesn’t make a difference for OS boot times and game loading times but we might start to see the benefits from DirectStorage.
actually this is better for $140 lol

RAM + SSD here - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09NW23275/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apan_glt_i_B3TKEM7RYKHPMWSHBAZF (5% coupon).
Here's my take on it.
I couldn't fit an i7-12700, or i512600K, in the build along with a discrete GPU, so we're stuck at 6c/12t. It's fine for simple or moderately complex music like rock, but I would recommend upping the budget for complex synth or orchestral work.
The cooler is optional, but I'd highly recommend it not only for reduced temps, but more importantly, for significantly reduced noise.
The motherboard has all the connectivity you need, along with a solid audio codec.
Like I said in another comment here, 16 GB of RAM is likely fine if you don't have a lot of intensive plugins. If you do, then that also requires either upping the budget or dropping the GPU down.
The SSD is Gen 4, so you'll benefit from faster transfer/open/save times.
The GPU doesn't have any impact on music production, so it's only for gaming. The RX 6600 is great for 1080p gaming at high settings in most games.
The case has tons of airflow, and since the pieces don't require too much cooling, you might be able to tune the fans slower for reduced noise. If noise is something you want to minimize, then I'd go for a Fractal Define series case; they've all got some form of noise suppression in the form of foam dampening.
The PSU is good quality and fully modular to minimize cable clutter.
Let me know what you think :)

RAM + SSD combo here - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09NW23275/ref=cm\_sw\_r\_cp\_apan\_glt\_i\_B3TKEM7RYKHPMWSHBAZF
We can upgrade it for only $15 more.
Overall - upgraded CPU, cooler, mobo, SSD, PSU for only $15 more.
Let me know what you think :)
He could get this $140 bundle with memory and a gen4 SSD: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09NW23275
Intel vs AMD aside, you can get better value:
Overall - $75 cheaper for slightly better airflow, faster storage, upgraded PSU.
u/Tacosadness thoughts?

You can upgrade to 32 GB of RAM and a Gen 4 SSD with a $2k budget with the following combo:
Optional
This is for an alternate package, the same M.2 but the RAM is black, 3200 (instead of 3000), and 10% off via coupon vs 5%.

Here is some edits, Better board and better PSU.
Here is bundle for RAM and SSD. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09NW23275
This is better SSD and similar RAM, But costs less as a bundle.
Here's what I'd recommend.
For the processor I'd go with the core i5-12400. $159 on microcenter, well priced, and it's got great gaming performance. When you consider both price and performance, it's the king of the mid range.
Cooling it is the vetroo v5, great budget cooler with some customizable lighting, solid overall cooling performance and low price. Includes a mounting bracket, pcpartpicker still hasn't caught onto that fact yet, so you can ignore the compatibility issues.
The MSI B660m-a pro is a brilliant budget board, with vrms closer to the $200 range than the $100 range, 4 memory slots, 2 M.2 slots and 2.5Gbit Ethernet.
For the memory and storage, I've gone with a bundle that is slightly cheaper. 16GB of ram is considered to be plenty for gaming and the sweet spot (though for more intense video editing you might benefit from 32GB, costs $50 more for that), and the he's sticks run at solid speeds. And the 1TB SSD should provide a good amount of space, and the Z440 performs well with its pcie 4.0 phison E16 controller and TLC NAND. You can find this bundle here.
Gone with a 3060 for the graphics card. Look, the games you play can all run on a Samsung smart fridge or a Texas Instruments TI89 titanium graphing calculator. This is really all you'll need for good performance in all of them, pretty cheap at $400 from microcenter and it also has NVENC which is handy for streaming.
Gone with the cooler master td500 mesh for the case. Brilliant aesthetic with 3 RGB fans, great airflow, high build quality and pretty easy to work in. Well priced too and it's hard to find a better RGB case under $100.
550w is enough for this specific build, and I quite like the corsair rmx 2021. Got amongst the best performance of any gold unit and probably the best performance of any 550w unit, well priced too, fully modular and has a 10 year warranty.
Look, that 1080p monitor will bottleneck the shit out of your system. Keep in mind that these games run on potatoes just fine, so the thing keeping you back will always be the monitor. Seriously, please do not cheap out here. You will be significantly impairing your experience if you skimp on a good monitor. the difference from 60fps to 165fps is absolutely gigantic, and the uplift to 1440p is nearly as dramatic. This is the easiest way to improve your experience. Anyways, the Samsung Odyssey G5A is my preferred budget 1440p gaming monitor. On top of the 165hz refresh rate, it also sports very fast response times that compete with the top end options. Additionally it's got high brightness, solid contrast and uniformity (for an IPS), and a decent color gamut for srgb (not wide color gamut though). Stand also supports lots of adjustments too.
Anyways; that's it. Let me Know if you have any questions, enjoy!
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09NW23275 but no RGB this time
and here's no black non-RGB version: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09NW23275
Sorry for the late response, I only found a decent monitor at Microcenter

CPU + Mobo combo (Has WiFi): https://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails?ItemList=Combo.449212
RAM + SSD (with 10% clip coupon): https://www.amazon.com/TEAMGROUP-T-Force-PC4-25600-TLZGD416G3200HC16CDC01-TM8FP7001T0C311/dp/B09NW23275/ref=sr_1_3?crid=3QN4DDV95FMU2&keywords=teamgroup+ram+%2B+ssd&qid=1648572931&sprefix=%2Caps%2C111&sr=8-3
Ignore compatibility warning, the CPU and motherboard should be compatible out of the box and if not then with a BIOS update you can do by requesting a boot kit. Otherwise why would Newegg bundle this CPU with this motherboard.
It's really good that you have an RTX 2060, if that works. If it doesn't work that's going to be bad, as GPUs are still overpriced... Prices are going down, but they're still higher than they should be.
Unfortunately I have to suggest changing the RAM, 2666MHz RAM is very slow for 2022. Thankfully there is this good combo deal, 126$ after applying the 10% extra-discount for 16GB of 3200MHz RAM + 1TB NVME Gen 4 SSD (the fastest kind on the market as of now): https://www.amazon.com/TEAMGROUP-T-Force-PC4-25600-TLZGD416G3200HC16CDC01-TM8FP7001T0C311/dp/B09NW23275/ref=sr_1_15?m=AWD7GDDT7Q2ZT&marketplaceID=ATVPDKIKX0DER&qid=1649983644&s=merchant-items&sr=1-15
Or this if you want to go up to 32GB: https://www.amazon.com/TEAMGROUP-T-Force-3200MHz-TLZGD432G3200HC16FDC01-TM8FP7001T0C311/dp/B09V7X6WNM/ref=sr_1_8?m=AWD7GDDT7Q2ZT&marketplaceID=ATVPDKIKX0DER&qid=1649983644&s=merchant-items&sr=1-8
Unfortunately you will not be able to play Elden Ring at 144 frames, simply because that game is locked at 60 (for some reason) so it doesn't matter how strong of a PC you have, it won't go over 60... But that's just a problem of the game, not of the hardware.
Opinions thus far?
I agree and disagree with the other user. Yes for the RAM, absolutely yes for the SSD, an SSD will make a world of difference, no for the CPU upgrade though. You're using a 1050 Ti, you wouldn't see any benefit in gaming by improving the CPU, the 3600 is still really good and allows the 1050 Ti to go at full power so... Yeah, I see a CPU upgrade as a waste of money.
As for the RAM and SSD there is this combo deal available right now, great price, especially with another 10% discount you can apply: https://www.amazon.com/TEAMGROUP-T-Force-PC4-25600-TLZGD416G3200HC16CDC01-TM8FP7001T0C311/dp/B09NW23275/ref=sr_1_9?m=AWD7GDDT7Q2ZT&marketplaceID=ATVPDKIKX0DER&qid=1649816405&s=merchant-items&sr=1-9
This includes a 16GB set of 3200MHz CL16, which means good speed and latency for a Ryzen 5 3600, and it'll mean dual-channel RAM which Ryzen CPUs love (just make sure to install the modules in slots 2 and 4 of the motherboard, if you install them right next to each other you will not get dual-channel RAM) and also includes a Gen 4 NVME SSD, which is the fastest kind of SSD available now on the market, this combo deal is really good. You'll want to install the M.2 SSD in the top M.2 slot of the motherboard, just under the CPU, by then putting over it the heatsink of the motherboard to cool it, which isn't important for older M.2 SSDs but it is important for Gen 4 ones like this one.
Opinions?

$840 without a GPU with peripherals and a could GPU would cost you $370 or so right now unfortunately, looking at the 3060 TI or the RX 6600. Having said that, this build has an APU in the Ryzen 5600g which can play those games at 1080p/30 FPS in Valorant. Much more FPS in Minecraft, maybe up to 40-50 FPS in DBD.
Ram and SSD in this bundle below. It like a good deal because you are basically paying $80 for a 1TB NVME SSD which is very good. If you want you could save money by going with a 512 GB NVME SSD for about $42 or so and any 16GB 3200 mhz CL16 RAM for $60 which would save you $38, but I think that is worth for 500 more GB in storage.
I suggest this: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/BDRW3y
I think that this is the best you can get for 700$ with only new parts.
I marked the RAM at 0$ and the SSD at 126$ because there's this combo deal: https://www.amazon.com/TEAMGROUP-T-Force-PC4-25600-TLZGD416G3200HC16CDC01-TM8FP7001T0C311/dp/B09NW23275/ref=sr_1_8?m=AWD7GDDT7Q2ZT&marketplaceID=ATVPDKIKX0DER&qid=1649725999&s=merchant-items&sr=1-8
Apply the 10% coupon and yeah, getting a good set of 16GB RAM and a super-fast NVME Gen 4 SSD at that price is great.
The case isn't cheap, but cheaper cases come with one or no fans, and they're no as good as this case, considering the glass side-panel, PSU shroud, mesh front-panel and two RGB fans I think it's worth it.

CPU + motherboard combo: https://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails?ItemList=Combo.4491788
RAM + SSD bundle (with 10% clip coupon): https://www.amazon.com/TEAMGROUP-T-Force-PC4-25600-TLZGD416G3200HC16CDC01-TM8FP7001T0C311/dp/B09NW23275/ref=sr_1_3?crid=3QN4DDV95FMU2&keywords=teamgroup+ram+%2B+ssd&qid=1648572931&sprefix=%2Caps%2C111&sr=8-3
CPU: This CPU is boosts up to 4.4GHz whilst the 5600X boosts up to 4.6GHz. That’s a measly 0.2GHz difference which just gets you negligible performance gain.
Motherboard: Has two M.2 SSD slots and four RAM slots which is enough for upgradeability.
RAM: Some decently fast 3200MHz RAM which is reliable
SSD: A high end DRAM cached Gen4 SSD. This RAM+SSD bundle is a steal as a whole as you get a high end SSD with it heavily discounted.
PSU: Added in a much better quality PSU. 550W should be enough.
GPU: You get a high end 3060Ti for $530, r/buildapcsales posts really good GPU deals.

Hmm... Maybe: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/h6cLPX
CPU at that price: https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapcsales/comments/tztpaq/cpu_50_off_coupon_for_5600x5800x12700k12900k_in/
So it'd end up being close to 900$...
I wanted to suggest the Asus Prime B450M-A II motherboard as it's a lot less expensive and has the Bios Flash feature too for the CPU... You can still get that, but the Gen 4 NVME SSD will run at Gen 3 speeds on that.
And there is the RTX 3050, which is similar to the 1660 Super, but with more VRAM and newer internal components should be better for you...
eVGAs 3060 XC has been popping up regularly as available and is $429+Tax and I think there is a discount code from Reddit. The SSD you picked is ok, but there are M.2 drives that are less and much faster, whether you would ever notice it or not is a different story. Grab this bundle now for RAM and M.2 at a good savings:
The case you chose is nice, I've built a couple rigs with it.
Alternative PSU.
https://www.newegg.com/super-flower-leadex-iii-sf-850f14hg-850w/p/1HU-024C-00005
Ok so... Maybe this: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Zbbz78
Regarding RAM and SSD there's this bundle which isn't bad at all: https://www.amazon.com/TEAMGROUP-T-Force-PC4-25600-TLZGD416G3200HC16CDC01-TM8FP7001T0C311/dp/B09NW23275/ref=sr_1_9?m=AWD7GDDT7Q2ZT&marketplaceID=ATVPDKIKX0DER&qid=1649549705&s=merchant-items&sr=1-9
As for the cooler the Scythe Fuma 2 Rev. B isn't cheap, but it's really good, quiet, and the Rev. B includes the mounting hardware for LGA 1700... Though it keeps going in and out of stock: https://www.amazon.com/Rev-B-Cooler-LGA1700-LGA1151-Towers/dp/B09NZGH4RD?ref\_=ast\_sto\_dp
I disagree, I’d still build one u/ginkgobill as it offers better for the bang for the buck. If you have gone with u/tronatula’s SSD upgrades, the HP PC would be close to $1250, about same cost as the list I provided you.

With this you can get a better GPU and more SSD. You can ditch the cooler for stock cooling but I tend to like going for an aftermarket cooler for quietness.
The 5600 is almost identical to 5600X in terms of performance.
3070Ti is slightly better than 3070.

Went for the same monitor as u/HelpElbowHitTable linked, $250 is just a hell of a deal for a 1440p 165Hz monitor. Link is here: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1634555-REG/samsung_ls27ag500nnxza_27_qhd_flatscreen_165hz_hdr10_has_ips_panel_hdmi_dp.html
GPU will run out of stock quick but at the same time GPU prices continue to drop so your choice whether to buy now or wait. $700 is an absolute steal for a 3070Ti
I also went for M.2 heatsink since Gen4 SSDs would run pretty hot in general
The ID Cooling cooler also offers good price to performance as well. It performs better than Cooler Master Hyper 212 and Vetroo V5 which they are more expensive.

RAM+SSD bundle here - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09NW23275/ref=cm\_sw\_r\_cp\_apan\_glt\_i\_B3TKEM7RYKHPMWSHBAZF
My take on it, closer to your target $1000 budget.
I swapped the case for the airflow version, but if you like the original H510 with red, go for that.
Also, just a quick note of confirmation, you're going to be streaming from your console, right? As the capture card is useless for direct PC streaming.
NVIDIA GPU's tend to be better for workstation tasks like video editing, and they also give you access to NVENC for PC streaming and DLSS 2.0 for game upscaling.
You may want to consider a cheaper, yet still reputable, 4K capture card. Make sure to do your own research on this because this is an area I'm unfamiliar with, but throwing $200+ on a capture card, in my opinion, isn't the best use of your budget.
Another question, what resolution will you be editing at?
Sorry didn’t realise you had a large budget. I went for a white build as because of the white RTX 3080 being sold at a good price (sadly, idk any good deals on a black RTX 3080)

CPU, motherboard, RAM (one set of that 16GB RAM is from Microcenter, the other 16GB RAM is included in a bundle) are all at Microcenter.

I also want to make another note is that AMD store restocks every Thursday (about 10AM EST I think) and they sell it at MSRP prices, it’s also worth checking that out, link to AMD store: https://www.amd.com/en/direct-buy/
Usually I wouldn’t get better than a 12400F for gaming but since your budget is large, a better CPU can bring better multitasking benefits and overall makes the PC smoother but it is still true that games benefit from GPU more than CPU. Sorry if that’s contradictory to what I’d just said, I just I didn’t realise your budget was huge. Anyways the 12600K is better and cheaper than that Ryzen 7. You could even stretch the CPU to a 12700F if you wanted too.
Great bang for the buck white cooler.
The motherboard is being being shown as $140 at Microcenter but if you purchase it with a CPU, they give you $20 discount for motherboard. I wouldn’t get the Gigabyte B660M DS3H because the VRMs are not good enough to handle this CPU. That’s why I went for the ASUS one. It has good connectivity too.
I recommend 32GB for your son to multitask with no sweat which means he can leave chrome tabs open and play games without having to worry the PC would slow down.
The SSD is included in the bundle. It’s a fast Gen4 SSD and it’s 1TB for your son to store plenty of his games and files in. This SSD is a steal because if you take away the price of this RAM (~$57) from the price of this bundle (~$129), you should end up like $72 or smth like that, that can only get a very bottom of the lime NVMe drive which are usually DRAMless. This SSD however is a higher end NVMe drive. This RAM + SSD bundle is definitely a steal and I’d highly recommend it.
PSU is of high quality and it’s white. It’s fully modular to make cable management easier.
Case has great airflow and it’s white. Good build quality too.
Any opinions?

GPU (buy quick, it goes OOS really fast): https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapcsales/comments/tr0cbz/gpu_evga_geforce_rtx_3080_ti_xc3_ultra_gaming/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3
If the 3080Ti does go out of stock, get the RX 6900XT for the same price. (Performs similar to 3080Ti, just that with the 3080Ti you’ll get DLSS which is better than FSR).
The i5 won’t bottleneck the 3080Ti or the 6900XT and is better (and cheaper) than the 5800X.
Cooler is compatible with the CPU and motherboard now, the PCPartPicker message is misinformation and is outdated. Why? Because Amazon lists it as “LGA 1700” compatible meaning it will be bundled with the LGA1700 mounting bracket required for this CPU and motherboard. PCPartPicker compatibility message has been fairly unreliable from my experience.
FYI, you don’t need to buy a Windows product key and you can actually download Windows for free directly from Microsoft. I have done it multiple times and encountered no problems.
Parts are still readily available, just that GPUs suffer from inflated prices (prebuilts also suffer from high GPU prices too).

Here's what I'd do then. Great for gaming and streaming with a black airflow theme.
Some notes:
I'd also add a set of custom PSU cables for aesthetics. Maybe this is another aspect where red comes into play.
$175 under budget so there's lots of wiggle room for changes.
Let me know what you think :)

Case supports 280mm AIO according to the manufacturers website so the PCPartPicker is wrong about that.
RAM + SSD bundle (with 8% clip coupon): https://www.amazon.com/TEAMGROUP-T-Force-PC4-25600-TLZGD416G3200HC16CDC01-TM8FP7001T0C311/dp/B09NW23275/ref=sr_1_4?crid=3749UNEJLLHTD&keywords=team+ram+%2B+ssd&qid=1648372833&sprefix=%2Caps%2C108&sr=8-4
The motherboard in the bundle is bad but it’s still a good deal for a GPU, just sell the motherboard on eBay or Craigslist https://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails?ItemList=Combo.4487626
First ram and ssd here https://www.amazon.com/TEAMGROUP-T-Force-PC4-25600-TLZGD416G3200HC16CDC01-TM8FP7001T0C311/dp/B09NW23275/ then buy another matching ram as listed
Cooler here https://www.amazon.com/Thermalright-Peerless-TL-C12C-S-Aluminium-Technology/dp/B09LGY38L4/
Case can be moved around easily
I have some thoughts on this list:
ID Cooling SE224 XT is a better and cheaper cooler. It should come with LGA1700 bracket.
Case only has one rear fan pre installed, maybe get at least one more fan (ideally two more) for better airflow
I’d recommend this RAM + SSD bundle (with 8% clip coupon). There is a cheaper version of the same bundle (again with 8% clip coupon) but this one can take months to deliver as opposed to one week in the first bundle link I sent.
Nice list, I would probably look at this RAM and SSD bundle:

Both bundles come with 8% clip coupon.

Link to RAM + SSD bundle (8% clip coupon): https://www.amazon.com/TEAMGROUP-T-Force-PC4-25600-TLZGD416G3200HC16CDC01-TM8FP7001T0C311/dp/B09NW23275/ref=sr_1_3?crid=31RU8QWOQ7SCP&keywords=teamgroup+ram+and+ssd&qid=1648301501&sprefix=%2Caps%2C110&sr=8-3
CPU: The Intel Core i5 12400F is better price to performance CPU than the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X. The 12400F and 5600X performs similarly for gaming ad productivity.
Cooler: Please ignore the compatibility warning, it comes with the required LGA1700 mounting bracket for it to be compatible with the CPU and motherboard. PCPartPicker’s compatibility warning isn’t always reliable from my experience. Either way, this is a much better performing cooler than the BeQuiet cooler you choose. You also don’t need to buy thermal paste as this cooler (most coolers in fact) would either come with it pre applied or they bundle it with a tube of thermal paste.
Motherboard: It has BIOS flashback, five rear USB-A ports, one rear USB-C port, two M.2 SSD slots and four RAM slots.
SSD + RAM bundle: This is literally steal, you’ll get a decent DRAM cached Gen4 SSD at budget Gen3 SSD pricing. As you you’ll get the RAM that you choose which is decent. It’s a 1TB SSD, enough to store plenty of your games without breaking the bank. 500GB SSD isn’t enough for gaming coming from my experience. Also this Team SSD you choose was a SATA one, not NVMe. Let’s explain why, M.2 is a form factor, not a protocol, it can be either use the SATA interface or PCIe interface. Nearly all PCIe SSDs use the NVMe protocol. Whilst it’s true that most SATA SSDs are use 2.5 inch form factor, there’s still plenty that exists in the M.2 form factor like the Team MS30 (one you choose). The opposite can be said for NVMe SSDs when the majority of them are in the M.2 form factor but believe it or not, there’s some in the 2.5 inch form factor. However, if you want to save even more money but still want to get the same bundle I linked earlier on, there is this one (again with 8% clip coupon) but this will take months to deliver as opposed to one week.
Case: Investing in a decent case is better and case is more important than you think. Your case lacks airflow and more likely, bad build quality and not very easy to cable manage. My case has good airflow and people have said it’s easy to cable manage. Especially if you’re a first time builder, investing in a good case is a good step.
GPU: You’ll probably know it’s better than your GPU, it’s good for 1080p/1440p gaming. Don’t really need to explain much on that.
Case fans: Stock case fan configuration will be sufficient for this PC so you don’t need to buy more case fans.
PSU: High quality PSU and is fully modular to make cable management easier. I assume that you don’t like RGB? In that case you can get rid of the RGB by simply not plugging in the RGB cable into the RGB header.
Windows: You do not need to buy Windows as you can download it for free directly from Microsoft without a key, tutorial here. Only caveats are not being able to personalise and you get an “Activate Windows” watermark however, there’s workarounds, like this one to remove the watermark or this one to change the wallpaper.
Any opinions on this build?

I don't think you need to spend so much. A $1100 PC would stay relevant for more than 2 years already.
I added an extra 2 TB HDD for storing your videos and other things.
You're going to want NVIDIA for the GPU if you're streaming. NVENC is unmatched in efficient GPU encoding. The RTX 3050 is also solid at GPU-accelerated tasks like Photoshop.
Touch of RGB here and there.
The PSU is way overkill for these parts but it'll support up to an RTX 3080 or equivalent when you upgrade in the future.
Let me know what you think :)

RAM+SSD combo - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09NW23275/ref=cm\_sw\_r\_cp\_apan\_glt\_i\_B3TKEM7RYKHPMWSHBAZF
Here's my take on it. I couldn't upgrade the GPU any more or else it would bring the list to maybe $50 over budget.
As for monitors...the Gigabyte G27Q is a great price right now at $260. Best value on the market.
As for the keyboard, my most common recommendation rn is the Epomaker K870T. It's a budget enthusiast-level keyboard instead of a "gaming" keyboard, and has a nicer typing experience than most expensive gaming keyboards. It comes with your choice of switch - I recommend linear red or tactile brown - and a compact TKL layout, along with optional wireless connectivity.
Let me know what you think :)
Updated list with additional 500 GB SSD for a total of 1.5 TB of SSD storage.
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/cYqzY9
I replaced the RAM/SSD with this combo. Roughly the same price but better value. Also replaced the cooler with as per below.

>Note:The Corsair RMx (2018) 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply length of 160mm is within the Cooler Master MasterBox NR400 (w/ODD) MicroATX Mid Tower Case maximum of 325mm, but exceeds the recommended length of 140mm.
Can be ignored. The HDD cage can be pushed forward to make space, or can be removed altogether.
>The be quiet! Pure Rock 2 CPU Cooler may require a separately available mounting adapter to fit the Gigabyte B660M DS3H AX DDR4 Micro ATX LGA1700 Motherboard.
It works, but there's a mounting kit required. It should come with the box but there's a small chance that your package doesn't include it. Hence, this one from Cooler Master does.

Very sorry for late response, I missed your comment. I would explain my reasoning for those parts choices PCPartPicker Part List

The 12100F will do so much better for gaming thanks to faster cores which games care more about faster cores rather than more cores:https://nanoreview.net/en/cpu-compare/intel-core-i3-12100f-vs-amd-ryzen-5-3600
An aftermarket cooler helps with quietness and looks better too
I still believe 16GB RAM should still do for gaming and streaming however 32GB RAM is more ideal for multitasking
Motherboard has 5 rear USB-A and 1 USB-C port. It also have 2 M.2 SSD slots aswell as BIOS flashback which can be a livesaver if you corrupted the BIOS.
1TB of very fast SSD to storage plenty of your games. A SSD is high recommended these days for fast OS boot times and game loading times otherwise your PC will feel slow.
The bundled PSU should be fine for the use of this PC
I wouldn’t trust this case as the build quality is likely going to be mediocre and this case lacks airflow. However, my case has good airflow and good build quality.
GPU is fine for 1080p/1440p gaming. Its also a good streaming GPU thanks to the NVENC encoder found in NVIDIA GPUs. If you're streaming via GPU encoding then CPU core count doesnt matter that much.
You may or may not know about this but for Windows, you can download for free directly from Microsoft with little caveats like a lack of personalisation options and you get a "Activate Windows" watermark but it can be solved by googling some workarounds.

u/FrostyDrink any opinions? You could also upgrade CPU and GPU if you want, Microcenter have very good deals on those

And I don’t really like the Silicon Power A80 SSD due to bait and switch.
Would make a few changes.
The 12400F is cheaper if you buy tray version here: https://www.shopblt.com/cgi-bin/shop/shop.cgi?action=thispage&thispage=0110030005038_B9YK566P.shtml&order_id=!ORDERID!#Availability

CPU: https://www.shopblt.com/item/intel-core-i5-12400f-desktop-8m/intel_cm8071504650609.html
RAM + SSD bundle: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09NW23275/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apan_glt_i_B3TKEM7RYKHPMWSHBAZF
I’ll give you three lists, some notes, PCPartPicker shows the CPU from Newegg but it’s same price at Amazon. If you want to save money, Shopblt sells tray version of these CPUs for cheaper than what Amazon and any other major retailers sell them: https://www.shopblt.com/item/intel-core-i5-12400f-desktop-8m/intel_cm8071504650609.html
Since the CPU I choose is $4 more than the 12400F on Amazon (assuming if you want to buy from there and not take the cheaper route by going to Shopblt) , you might aswell pay the extra for an iGPU because they’re useful for troubleshooting if a GPU is dead and also they can be a good backup GPU.
About the motherboard, it’s still available on Amazon for same price, don’t always trust PCPartPicker listings.
Another note, you should get a SSD for a boot drive. You’d be not given the “Better than Dell award” if you don’t include one and it’ll be a laughing stock against prebuilts since they include SSD as standard. They’re much faster than HDD and it won’t be acceptable in 2022 not to get a SSD.
Another thing is that Amazon is not a good place to buy GPUs, either the sellers are unreliable or they’re overpriced.
Usually I wouldn’t go for 750W but since you wanted to purchase from Amazon, they have some good deals for them. If you are open to buying from Newegg, I’d get the Phanteks AMP 550W (for the first build) or the Corsair RMx 650W (for the third build). But if you still want to buy the PSU from Amazon, the MSI A-GF is a high quality unit with 10 years warranty.
As for the cooler, the CoolerMaster Hyper 212 is overpriced and not a good value. There’s better performing coolers like the Vetroo V5 (this one includes LGA1700 mounting bracket out of the box if bought from Amazon).
As for Windows, just don’t buy it as you only pay for the product key, not the actual download. You can still download directly from Microsoft for free. When installing Windows, you just select “I don’t have a product key” and it will still proceed to install Windows. It will function 99% like normal Windows with minor inconveniences which can be solved by some easy workarounds.

You can get a bundle with the same RAM plus a 1TB Cardea Z440 gen 4 SSD for $135 on Amazon.

Cooler: I’d get the Vetroo V5, great bang for the buck and includes the LGA1700 bracket if bought from Amazon
Motherboard: Could probably go for mATX motherboard to cut costs
SSD: Instead of getting 1TB Gen3 SSD, you could have gotten a 1TB Gen4 SSD for the same price or even cheaper if you went for that RAM and SSD bundle
Case: Good build quality, good airflow and easy to build in
PSU: I’d probably get 650W PSU as you don’t actually need 750W and also this Corsair unit is a better quality unit than this MSI one too (not to say MSI A-GF PSUs are bad but just saying)
GPU: From the time I am writing this, the GPU seems to be OOS so I’d advise u/xMartix to wait for another GPU deal
Any opinions u/xMartix ?
it will
Also, recommendation for better RAM + SSD deal: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09NW23275 Same spec RAM and a gen 4 drive for cheaper

CPU (cheaper than what PCPartPicker lists): https://www.shopblt.com/item/intel-core-i5-12400f-desktop-8m/intel_cm8071504650609.html
RAM + SSD bundle (cheaper than pretty much any 1TB Gen3 SSD and 2x8GB 3200MHz bundle): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09NW23275/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apan_glt_i_B3TKEM7RYKHPMWSHBAZF
You can get a RX6600XT for $500: https://www.newegg.com/asrock-radeon-rx-6600-xt-rx6600xt-cld-8g/p/N82E16814930063?Description=6600XT&cm_re=6600XT-_-14-930-063-_-Product
I’d recommend Intel due to better price to performance. This CPU performs about the same as Ryzen 5 5600X but much cheaper.
Motherboard has decent connectivity.
The Vetroo V5 comes with LGA1700 bracket which is required for this motherboard if you purchase this from Amazon. Great bang for the buck cooler too.
2x8GB (16GB) RAM is optimal for gaming. Get two 8GB sticks for more performance because it enables a mode called dual channel.
1TB SSD is the current sweet spot for a gaming PC.
The RX6600XT is cheaper and performs better than the RTX 3060 although you don’t get DLSS (upscaling resolution tech) on AMD cards. You do get FSR (AMD’s version of DLSS) which is still decent but is inferior to DLSS.
Case has good airflow, choose a case based on reviews.
About the power supply, it’s very important to get a good quality power supply as if you don’t you risk destroying components. You can read about power supplies (I called it PSU in the post I linked but that stands for power supply unit): https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/comments/rcw6bl/very_important_information_about_psus/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3
You get a 1440p 165Hz monitor as opposed to 1080p 144Hz monitor in the other list, what I really like about this Lenovo monitor is good ergonomics and decent picture quality.
As for the mouse and keyboard, I’m not that knowledgeable into them so take these recommendations a grain of salt.
Then I agree, I would probably recommend DRAM cached SSDs, especially this bundle where to offer Gen4 SSD and RAM pretty cheap with coupon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09NW23275/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apan_glt_i_B3TKEM7RYKHPMWSHBAZF

I don’t like this list as a whole, I can build an even better value list:

A 11400F won’t bottleneck a RTX3080: https://youtu.be/vuBdg4scU0k It’s 1080p test but the higher resolution you go, it is more reliant on GPU rather than CPU so the bottleneck is even less.
Got you an aftermarket cooler for quietness and aesthetics but this CPU does have its own stock cooler which is sufficient for the job.
Motherboard has decent connectivity.
16GB RAM is enough for gaming but if you’re an heavy multitasker then 32 GB RAM might make sense.
Very high quality 750W PSU, 850W is not needed.
The bundled SSD I linked is faster than yours.
I haven’t seen much reviews on case you choose so I wouldn’t recommend it. This case I picked has good airflow, good build quality and it’s easy to build in.
Any opinions?

RAM + 1TB SSD bundle: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09NW23275/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apan_glt_i_B3TKEM7RYKHPMWSHBAZF
Great price to performance CPU, similar performance to Ryzen 5600X whilst being much cheaper.
Got you an aftermarket cooler for quietness.
Motherboard has decent connectivity.
16GB RAM is recommended for gaming.
1TB SSD to fit plenty of your games. Also, it’s Gen4 which might benefit from upcoming DirectStorage.
GPU is great for 1440p gaming.
Case has decent build quality and good airflow.
The bundled PSU is fully modular to make cable management easier and it’s sufficient for this PC.
If you don’t need the bundled keyboard and mice, you can just sell it.
Any opinions?
I am not so sure if this is ideal for your mom but it’s at least a more powerful PC than the same price of yours (assuming if we don’t buy windows)

SSD and RAM combo: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09NW23275/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apan_glt_i_B3TKEM7RYKHPMWSHBAZF
The 12700F is miles better than 5800X for performance whilst being better value, benchmarks prove it: https://youtu.be/ydgN4W97Esk (This does have the 12700 but the only difference between 12700 and 12700F is that the 12700F loses an iGPU).
Motherboard has decent connectivity.
FYI, the 5800X doesn’t come with a stock cooler but the 12700F does. The reason why I still added an aftermarket cooler to the 12700F is because more cooling allows the CPU to boost more so you essentially get more CPU performance by adding an aftermarket cooler.
As a general rule, you should go for 32GB RAM or more for productivity. RAM brand don’t matter as they source the memory chips from big manufacturers like Samsung, SK Hynix and Micron.
I kept the same GPU as you choose.
Case has decent airflow, probably don’t need a $100 case, this case is good enough.
Don’t get a SATA SSD as a boot drive if your building a new PC. NVMe SSDs don’t cost more than SATA. In fact, the price of my SSD and RAM combo compared to yours is cheaper whilst having a fast 1TB PCIe Gen4 SSD which might help so much more with file transfers.
You don’t need a 750W PSU for this build, I’d say 550W is enough.
Not great PC, this is better for gaming and cheaper: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/GWmgLs
Great bang for the buck CPU, it has better price to performance ratio than pretty much any Ryzen. It has Ryzen 5 5600X like performance but a lot cheaper.
Your cooler is overpriced, this cooler is quite a bit cheaper whilst still being a decent performer.
The 3060Ti is way better than the 1050Ti and you get DLSS, here is the GPU bundle (Antonline is an authorised EVGA dealer and has been on r/buildapcsales with upvotes so it’s not a scam): https://www.antonline.com/Evga/Computers/Video_Cards/Graphic_Cards/1444073
You can sell the mouse and keyboard from this bundle, oddly GPU bundles are cheaper than the GPU itself.
The included PSU is fully modular to reduce cable clutter and is sufficient for this PC.
Any opinions? RAM and SSD are in bundle, tick the coupon checkbox to get the price $134.99: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09NW23275/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apan_glt_i_B3TKEM7RYKHPMWSHBAZF
The included SSD is faster than yours. 134.99 for a 1TB Gen4 SSD and 2x8GB 3200MHz RAM is a steal, a lot cheaper than your RAM and SSD combo.
Right, I edited the list for the motherboard to include WiFi. AX just stands for WiFi 6 capability.
For the RAM and SSD bundle here it is: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09NW23275/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apan_glt_i_B3TKEM7RYKHPMWSHBAZF
Make sure to tick the coupon checkbox to get the discounted price $134.99
Only thing I would change is RAM and SSD for this bundle: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09NW23275/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apan_glt_i_B3TKEM7RYKHPMWSHBAZF
It’s $134.99 when you tick the coupon checkbox.

The 12700F performs close to the 12700KF but not overclockable, unless you want to overclock you need a Z690 board and the 12700K seems to be cheaper than the 12700KF.
Motherboard has good connectivity and VRMs. It has WiFi aswell.
A 280mm AIO, enough to cool an i7.
Got you the flow version of the H510 since the H510 has a bad reputation of keeping your components hot.
PSU is in the bundle which is good enough for this PC.
RAM and SSD meets your requirements.

Intel is at a much better value rn, in fact this CPU beats your Ryzen CPU for gaming for like half the money: https://youtu.be/sjQQ959G118
Great bang for the buck cooler, will make a difference for quietness just like how a SSD makes a difference for boot times and game loading times. You don’t need thermal paste for most coolers including stock because they either have it pre apply on the cooler or it comes with a tube.
I got you a 1TB SSD and RAM bundle, I don’t recommend the 500GB SSD and 2TB HDD combo because you might not end up using all of that storage. My rule of thumb is start with 1TB SSD and if you need more, you can always add more storage later on. The RAM and SSD are reliable.
My case is cheaper whilst maintaining good airflow and build quality.
Your chosen PSU seems to be using an outdated platform so I wouldn’t recommend it. I would recommend this Corsair PSU which uses a much newer platform and this one is decent quality which I know of for sure.
RTX3050 beats GTX1650 significantly.
Any opinions?

SSD and RAM bundle: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09NW23275/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apan_glt_i_B3TKEM7RYKHPMWSHBAZF
Feel free to buy 16GB more RAM on yourself if you like 32GB RAM, it does make a difference for multitasking.
Minimal gain to go for a Ryzen 7 chip, games care more about single core score than core count which the 12400 has better cores than the 3800X.
Motherboard is good enough for a lot of people’s needs.
Could go for aftermarket cooler for quietness, it’s like you go for a SSD for faster boot times.
Your chosen SSD isn’t NVMe, it’s SATA in a M.2 form factor. NVMe don’t really cost more than a SATA SSD. In fact, I found this really good SSD and RAM bundle which is NVMe and it’s Gen4.
EVGA BQ’s are trash, don’t ever assume quality by brand, that is not always the case. My recommended PSU is very high quality with 10 years warranty and it’s fully modular, great for aesthetics and cable management. Fun fact, SuperFlower used to make a lot of EVGA PSUs, and yes many brands like Corsair, CoolerMaster, EVGA don’t actually make their own PSUs. You can check my post about PSUs here: https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/comments/rcw6bl/very_important_information_about_psus/
NZXT H510 has a very bad rep in the PC community for keeping your components hot, I would get something that has decent amount of airflow to keep your components cooler like the one I recommend.
