> Man, this just gave me a new thing to think about
Lol sorry, it's just lately I've been looking at all the modern amenities I take for granted and began to think about what life is going to be like when I can't skip down to the corner store anymore.
> periods will be a nightmare in collapse
Yeah it won't be fun. Thankfully if you survive to menopause that shit will stop. Also they have reusable pads now that might be a viable alternative to disposable stuff (I know amazon=bad but I can't find these for sale anywhere else).
> I would want a full uterus removal in that case; it's not even about getting pregnant anymore.
Hysterectomies are very, very hard on your body, and most surgeons won't preform one unless medically necessary.
> sex is almost like playing a video game, I don't crave it
I used to have a sex drive but not anymore. Now I actually struggle a bit with sex-repulsion. Grief can do weird things to you.
> I have 4 more years until I'm off my dad's insurance so I would have to consider all my options
Yeah best do it now while you can. I've got pretty shitty insurance but I'm trying to get all my health needs taken care of before it's not an option anymore.

So I failed with the cup thing too, and I tried again after having a kid and I hate it even more, I dont like tampons anymore either. So Id tried the cloth ones. This brand is amazinnggg. Theyve lasted me a couple years now and still look brand new.
I used this set and liked them. Also used a diva cup and thinx (together or separate depending on day) They are a little warm and bulky but a good alternative to disposables.

I have been using period panties for about 5 years. I wear them for work as a back up for tampons and at night for free flowing. I would say it works during the day and night but sometimes I have accidents are night. I use a waterproof mattress pad always as I have a dust mite allergy so I throw it all in the wash with chlorine bleach and it all washes out perfectly.
I use Knix & Thinx panties. I just got some reusable pads on Amazon too that are highly rated. They look promising as they have a near perfect rating and the pad is made of absorbent bamboo. You might find panties made in a similar way. Both pads and panties are a good back up for a cup or tampons. Or just free flowing which I find the most comfortable.
I also use Tide scent remover pods with my normal laundry detergent. Works great on many things.
Good luck and use whatever you find comfortable. I have saved money on disposable lines and pads and feel more comfortable. Not like your moms “diaper” pads of years ago. There’s a lot of products now that make us women feel better and more comfortable. ♥️🌺

Figure it's probably more breathable than being stuck in disposable pads all the time, and should be a good bit more sustainable cost-wise...
I bought these and they have worked really well! I also have a few ones from an Etsy shop. I wear cotton bikini knickers (think medium gusset more friction than silky knickers...) and they stay really well. I have heard of people using double sided tape to keep them from moving.
I have been using reuseable pads for about 6 months and love them. They are way more comfortable than regular pads. I got a 10 pack off Amazon that comes with a storage bag. I'm glad I got a verity of sizes. The storage bag is very useful too.
These are the ones I got but there are many other brands available:

If you use Amazon, I can recommend these. I bought them twice. They are extremely comfy, and I like that the lining is of a dark color. Just be vigilant about washing them once you're done wearing them:
I've been using cloth ones I got from amazon and they have been amazing! here are the reusable pads but before that I've always been a fan of always infinity in the green package.
So worth it. I switched and will never go back. Hated the diaper rash, uncomfortableness, and the sound of it when taking one out in an echoing bathroom. Can't recommend one exactly but I like these:
The downsides: you have to bring a small plastic baggie for the used pad if you're going to be out in public
I got these cheap ones from amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078S6KRX2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_VYzrFb5H11H7T
I wash them on cold and it says not to dry them but I do it anyway. I’ve had them for 8 months and they’re holding up great.
I've been using these for nearly 2 years now (when I went to the item, it said I last purchased them November 2019.) And I freaking love them!
I wasn't sure what size I was going to need/wear most, so this set was the best option for me. I soon realized that I wouldn't really wear the largest size, and only having a couple of the regular and small size, just weren't gonna cut it for an entire period, so I ended up buying another pack of the regular size, and then later, a pack of the smaller/liner size, (both basically a no-name brand on Amazon, just like the initial pack I had bought.)
I've never used the brand you mentioned, but I've never leaked through the ones I wear. I would definitely try another cloth pad before completely giving up on the idea.
As for wasting water, you could try putting them in a bucket of soapy water, and then rinsing them well when you shower. When the water is running clear, throw them in the washer and dryer and you're good to go. Obviously the washer and dryer method won't work if you only have a couple pads, unless you already wash a load of clothes every day. Otherwise, you can bring a laundry soap bar into the shower with you, and just completely wash them in there, and hang them to dry.
If you squeeze nearly all the water out, they should only take a few hours to dry. (Try hanging them outside, or in front of a fan of they're taking too long to dry.)
I've tried menstrual cups & discs, and personally, I just can't handle them. I'm not a huge fan of tampons though either. Idk, I guess I'm just weird.
You can buy a box of Softdiscs at Target or Walmart for about $10. If you can handle those, you'll probably be able to handle a menstrual cup.
I'd imagine those are more eco-friendly than traditional (plastic) pads, so it may be worth temporarily switching to those, if you end up liking them. Just until you can find a more permanent, eco-friendly solution. 😊
You can buy re-usable, washable pads. I had a freind who used to make them, now you can get them on Amazon. You have to pay a little more attention to yourself when using pads, but there's no waste to go in to landfills (where did you think all those pads go? They are not biodegradable. They go in landfills with all the plastic diapers) https://www.amazon.com/Teamoy-Menstrual-Super-Absorbent-Comfortable-3pcs×11-6/dp/B078S6KRX2/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=re-usable%2Bmenstrual%2Bpads&qid=1561895568&s=gateway&sr=8-2&th=1
2 I got my first cloth pads from Amazon because they were cheap and great as a trial run. I'm in Canada but these are the same ones I have. Link to variety pack and Overnight size
You change them like you would disposable pads, depending on your flow. They will feel damp but they absorb really well and are superior for wicking away moisture in comparison to disposables. I'd suggest paring them with period underwear or a menstrual cup if you are worried about leaks, some people wear two pairs of underwear to keep them in place. They don't have a sticky backing so it can take some getting used to. Overall they're way more comfortable than disposable pads.
A decent price to pay depends on what you're looking for. The ones on Amazon are cheap but they function well. When you want to upgrade consider if you want something made from organic materials, cotton, bamboo, hand-made off Etsy, etc. They will affect the prices.
Kalo merk yang kupake ternyata cuma available di sini aja... Modelnya mirip2 gini deh https://www.amazon.com/Teamoy-Menstrual-Super-Absorbent-Comfortable-3pcs%C3%9711-6/dp/B078S6KRX2/

Also, you need to wrap your pads up. Keep the original wrapper in the trash and rewrap them inside. If you roll the pad up, it should fit but also stick to itself.
OR... better yet!
