OK. I think the telescope uses 1.25" telescope eyepieces, so would the 2" adapter fit?

That's what I use to attach my 60D to my scopes. It's a prime focus setup and your scope is essentially the lens. Just remember to disable the mirror flip or shoot in live view mode.
I am looking at purchasing this piece of equipment to attach my Canon Rebel t3i to a Celestron C8-N.
Does anybody have any negative experiences with buying this rather than a separate t-ring and t-adapter/field flattener?
