The optics are reasonable, the mount is flimsy. You will get decent views, it will just be a bit frustrating to fight the mount. That said, I got hooked with a similar scope.
for observing the planets, you will want a 5mm eyepiece. Something like the 5mm Astro-Tech paradigm or 5mm 58 degree UWA
For widefield, low power viewing, consider getting a 32mm Plossl if you don't already have one for that scope.
