This is a topic that I struggled a lot with. I watched a ton of videos and read blogs to find accessories that makes sense for me. As a 6 month old Tesla MY owner, here is what I own.
Must Have’s — All Weather Floor Mats. Do not miss getting one for trunk too. It’s life saver — Screen protector (I have Spigen matt screen protector. While it minimizes finger prints, it makes screen glare really bad when sun is right behind. So, consider accordingly.) — Center console trays (I have Tesla OEM but there are tons on amazon too)
Good to have — Sports pedal (makes it look nicer and I find it grippy) — Pouch bag that clips to vent (I find it useful for keeping sunglasses or smaller items. Amazon link - Tesla Mode 3 Model Y Air Vent Organizer Sunglasses Holder Cell Phone Pocket Pouch Bag Box Tidy Storage Coin Key Case with Hook- Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B083Z172Z8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_9JXMWABMDJ1Z45EPE568?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1) — Center Console Cupholder Cover (make your bottle fit snugly) — SSD for Sentry mode (Tesla provides a thumb drive but if you are using sentry mode frequently, it worth getting SSD otherwise video’s appear choppy and might not be worthy in case of emergency) — Air freshener (there is one made specifically for Tesla - S3XYWORLD Tesla Model 3/Y Air Freshener-Orchard Scent-Invisible Slim Design-Long Lasting-Aromatherapy Scent-Auto Odor Eliminator - (Orchard Fresh Set) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B099BQ64RM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_XEWB90R081BMRBDJEYW5?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1) — Temai phone holder (if you use plan to use phone for navigation)
Not really important but can be useful — Lifting Jack Pad for Tesla (There are specific jack points for the tesla vehicle. Without an adapter, you may risk damaging the battery of the vehicle when raising it to rotate tires.) — Door Lock Cover Protector Latches (It can effectively protect your locks from rust and damage. Reduce noise and vibration when closing the door.) — Center Console Armrest Hidden Storage Box — Garbage Bag (If you are planning road trips, this is life saver. One I use - Motrobe Tesla Model Y Trash Can Garbage Bag 2016-2022 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08M37764H/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_HHNNAPX8NNFH0ZG5B4F4?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1) — Tesla mobile charger cap (you can’t be too careful. I have this one - S3XY Charger Cap Protector for Tesla Chargers https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08YFJCNXV/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_TD40CFYXN0FCYACCQZGS?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1) — Depending on where you live … windshield sunshade is useful. — EV center console wraps (Personalization and also saves console tray if people put keys of other metal items.)
Now, let me address, PPF requirement from my perspective. PPF aka Clear Bra is protective film that is applied on car to primarily save the paint from rock dings/chip. Expel and SunTek are two most popular brands. PPF’s are usually applied — partially (Front Bumper, Headlights, Fog Lights, 1/3 Hood & Fender, Mirror Caps) — full front (Front Bumper, Headlights, Fog Lights, Full Hood & Fender, Mirror Caps, Door Handle) — complete car
Partial is the preferred option as you will get most rock chips flying from a car in front of you. Here is what prohibited me — overall cost was an issue for me (partial is at least $1200-1500) — ideally should be done right after getting the car in order to save the factory paint in as pristine condition as possible. I didn’t want spend another good chunk of $$$. — I wasn’t sure if it has any ROI because car is going to be depreciating asset and anyone buying used car, doesn’t expect shiny paint.
