Turns out I do have more questions. What sort of filter are you using? I decided to go with this tank instead since I think the shape will make it easier to add rock to the bottom and it comes with a filter already
But I'm worried about the filter being too powerful or killing the shrimp. I watch a video by this youtuber called Christine Ha and she mentions some sort of sponge that can be used with the filter so nothing gets sucked in but I'm not sure how it works.
Did you let your tank cycle before adding the shrimp?
And when you said earlier that you turned your ecosphere upside down while you adjusted the salintiy, how do you mean? Where did the measuring cup come in?
thanks for the info again
I was thinking about getting this tank instead since I like the shape more and it comes with a filter
But I'm wondering if the filter in this is appropriate. I see some questions on the product page where people say the filter is for freshwater only? And I'm concerned the filter would suck in and kill the shrimp. But I've seen a youtube video where they mention a sort of sponge you can use with the filter to avoid this, but I'm basically looking for advice on whether or not this tank and/or filter would be appropriate, or whether they shrimp need a filter at all?
edit-- alright I'm now actually reading the one link posted and see it says no filter needed. Would this still apply for a 1-1.5 gallon tank rather the .5 gallon used in that link?
