I was bummed when I discovered we SB3 owners pretty much have zero, well one unappealing case, case options. I loved the UAG case for the SB3/2 but goofed and learned the hard way it's only for the 13.5". Snifff...that damned thing was $80...oops! Back to Best Buy it goes ...
I found the detached display, sorry the nerd part of me calls it the "Saucer Section", I know that's weak but it makes me chuckle. But the physical dimensions of the 15" panel are a but challenging to control if trying to hold it while writing or reading on the screen. I simly don't trust my hands to be steady enough to try that anywhere but lying on the bed.
Had an idea of making a hand strap using industrial Velcro but didn't relish fashioning the actual hand strap. But during a session of sport shopping on Amazon last week I stumbled across several products all were similar to what I envisioned...gotta love this web where someone else has to have had your idea and made it happen.
Here is the Amazon link to the product , hope it's OK...

The product is shown for smaller devices up to the iPad 12.1" but I thought it might be worth a try. It is fantastic. The pad attached to the back of the SB3 would be better if 2x it's current size but with a bit of trial and error I found the right spot to let me attach the strap and allow me to totally support the tablet in one hand without feeling like it might drop. Got the right spot for both landscape and portrait orientation.
My hands are on the large side so I hoped the strap was going to be large enough and there is just enough length for me. The strap is comfortable and will surely soften a bit over time. It also has a nice bit of padding between your palm and the tablet.
Here are a couple more pictures of me holding the tablet and just the strap setup on the back of the tablet.

Because the tablet is much bigger than even the 12.1 iPad, it's not going to offer much in the way of a rear support on a table. But hey, that's why we have our fancy dandy keyboard with display turned around.
That brings to the next cool part. Where I have the pad placed it in no way interferes with flipping the display around and laying to down over the keyboard.
It's not too spendy and there are other versions once you start looking. Comes down to a matter of taste. I am going to grab a piece of the Velcro used on the tablet so I can have more options to grip the beastie.
Anyway I thought this might be handy for anyone who might want to hold on to the tablet section by itself with quite a bit more stability.
